It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas...

I am finally done with all my shopping. Hooray!!! I wrapped everything yesterday afternoon after I picked up the kiddies from school. Locked myself in my bedroom and got it all done in just a couple of hours. I got my goodies made (the pretzel recipe I got off Gina's blog:).

I am getting Victoria ready right now to make up her goodie bags for her class. They are having their class party on Friday so she is taking them then. Tomorrow is Polar Express Day. They get to wear their pjs to school and have activites all day long. She is SO excited:)

The only things I have left to get done are some tags I want to make to go along with the teacher gifts and some ornaments. Every year I make a set of ornaments for our tree and a set for my mom and MIL. I usually do something using the kids pics.

So most things are crossed of my list. It's not feeling as overwhelming anymore and I can relax a little more:)...Took a little break in the middle of writing and got the goodie bags for the class done:)

I hope to get a good pic of the kids in front of the tree. Maybe I'll do that later today...tomorrow for sure:)

Off to get a few more things done.

I Gave Up...

Looking for the darn Wii. We decided to just go with the Xbox 360. I know Steve really wanted it to, so it's kind of present for him also. We went to Target today and bought it. Steve says that he was informed that this morning they had 71 Wiis...sigh...Of course...Best Buy had them too, but not as many. Supposedly they were giving out numbers at like 5am for the systems and then you just had to be back by 9am to pick yours up...!!! If I had know I would have most definately waited in line and whatever hour to ensure I was going to get one as opposed to driving around town for weeks like a dummy hoping to find one. I don't know how everyone knew they were going to have them and the whole number thing though. I wonder if and when they were going to be doing this again. Possibly next Sunday cause I had a friend how lives in FL tell me about the Best Buy thing so it might work the same for Target. And I kept wondering why Target never had them and no one was there looking for them during the week...I see now.

Anyway, we bought the Xbox today and I got Victoria a game for it the other day and Steve bought her another one today. I bought Steve a game for it too.. last week. I know he's gonna be really surprised because he thought that all he was getting was the DS that he opened the day I bought it (Black Friday)...:)

So with the exception of my mom's gift which I already know what I'm getting her, I just need to go back and get it, I am all done with my shopping FINALLY:) Woo hoo. I still have to work on my gift for Lal. We are making our gifts to each other this year. I got all my envies mailed out with the gifts that needed to go out of town.

I bought the goodies for Victoria's goodie bags for class, bought what the kids need to take to school for their parties. All that's left to do is wrap. I have not wrapped a single thing. Luckily most of the gifts aren't too big or too hard to wrap; lots of games, DVD's...that sort of thing. I need to make the goodie bags and make these pretzels snacks that Gina posted the recipe for on her blog. I am making some baggies for Victoria to take to her teacher and her teacher from last year and some for Steve to take to some of his employees.

Every year I also make a set of homemade ornaments for myself, my mom and my MIL so I need to get that done this week too. Actually the more I think of it, the more it seems I still need to get done.

The kids go to school all this week so that's a good thing. I still have this whole week to get things done. They go on vaca Friday and won't go back until the beginning of January.

I have house cleaning to do tomorrow then I will spend the rest of the week doing all my last minute Xmas preparations. Will upate soon. And just in case...I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Aaahhh!!!

Another day of searching for the Wii with no luck. So I am ready to go and drive to the GameStop since the woman working there told me the other day that they should be getting them in on Wednesday. I arrive at 9am and realize they don't open until 10, but I figure I've got the upper hand being there first.

A woman arrives a bit after and mouths to me through her closed window if I am also waiting for the store to open to get a Wii...I nod yes...At least I'm not the only crazy person still looking. I feel a little better. A man arrives right after...he's there for the same thing. We we start discussing how long we've been looking for this thing. The other woman has been searching every day for two weeks. I tell her I'm going on three. The man looks shocked at both of us.

A bit later one of the women who work there shows up and right after another. The second woman informs us that since we are the first three there we are guaranteed one. Yay!!! So she goes in and comes back and tells us we have to immediately go into the store as soon as they open so that we can get one if they come in. If we are not physically THERE when they arrive and someone else is, they get it. So we wait. She comes back out a few minutes later and informs us that they will NOT be coming in today. Come back tomorrow:( Sigh... Oh, and they only get three in a week, so we would have been the three.

So I will be there by 9:30 am tomorrow hoping. The other woman said she'd be there too.

So I head to the Walmart on Bandera. Several Walmarts got them in yesterday (Steve called around), but they had already sold out in minutes:( So I ask in electronics...Nope...not come in and didn't come in yesterday. So I hang around...for 3 hours!!! Steve said they had put them out at about noon yesterday so I am determined to stay until at least that. I walk around and keep checking back in. I am exhausted and hungry and SUPER bored. Afterall, I've been there everyday for the last three weeks. There isn't THAT much to look at:(

Finally about 12:30, I give up. I go and ask and nothing. The girl says it's not looking good for the day, but that they might come in over night. No one ever knows:(

I am catching a cold or something again:( My throat is hurting pretty bad. I came home and took something and then laid down after I got the kids from school. I slept on and off from about 4:30 until 7:30. I am not feeling good:(

Well, I've got dishes to do and a shower to take before I start over again tomorrow. Wish me luck...again:)

More To Share...

Well, I've got the tree up and our indoor decorations. Got my two wreaths done for my double doors and we got our lawn decorations out. All we need to do now is put up our outdoor lights which will probably go up tomorrow:I still have shopping to do and I am hoping that I will be able to find that damn Wii this week or I don't know what I'll do:(

I've got several gifts wrapped and a few packages ready to be mailed out. I'm still feeling like there is too much to be done and just not enough time:(

Today we went over to Lal's to celebrate Mikey's birthday. He turns 3 on Monday:) I can't believe how time has flown. It seems like only yesterday I went to the hospital and held this teeny tiny baby and now he's this rambuctious, non-stop, hilarious little boy:) I love my little Mooky Monkey:)

I went by HL with Lal and my mom while I was over on Lal's side of town. I bought me a heat embossing gun and one of those Tim Holtz felt ink blending thingies and two Christmas wood mounted rubber stamps.

I was looking at the amazing stuff Tim Holtz has put up on his blog lately and I am so in love with it all. He has some AWESOMELY AMAZING Christmas tags on there. They are simply gorgeous. I am slowing going to try to accumulate as many of his products as possible:) I really want some of his embossing powders and some of the alcohol inks. I need to add those to my Xmas wish list;) Oh, and the Grungeboard. GOTTA get some Grungeboard. I'm gonna go by 911 tomorrow and hope that they still have some. It's been 10 days since they got it in so I'm hoping (crossing my fingers).

So when I got home I went through the old totes Steve has with all his old stamping stuff...Yes...Steve used to do stamping...LOL...Anyway, I found quite a few embossing powders and stuff in there that I can play with until I start getting my Tim Holtz goodies:)

I got these pics of Victoria the other day afterschool. I need to go some of Mattie, but I'm not sure how happy he'll be about putting the Santa hat on. But first he REALLY needs a haircut which we are giving him tomorrow, so I'll get some pics on Monday:)

Even though it's still fairly early, I'm really tired. The kids NEVER sleep late on the weekends, but come Monday they can't get out of bed...Go figure. I'm off:)

Ooops, one more thing before I go. I did a quick LO the other day. Was a lift from a LO I saw hanging at 911. Loved that Urban Lily paper so I just had to copy the LO.The background paper is Urban Lily. I really didn't need to add much to it all. The paper is so pretty. I added a "silhoutte" heart I cut out of another Urban Lily Paper (black with white polka dots), some black Doodlebug Paper Posies (that I've had FOREVER), a couple of Doodlebug blooms and a Prima Esprit, some Foof A La and Paper Studio buttons, a stamped image using one of my Autumn Leaves stamp sets and another Autumn Leaves stamp for the "title"...Love. TFL:) I'm off to bed.

Seriously Frustrated...

Ok...I have been searching for this Wii for too long. I had been on Monday and on Tuesday of this week AGAIN, by 10 am both days, so I decide today to go a little later and wouldn't you know it... By the time I get there, they had come in and sold out!!! Grrr!!! They can't be serious!!! I just KNEW they'd be there today and despite my instinct, I waited and then I was too late:( Now I have to wait until next week and check in every day to make sure I don't miss the next shipment. This is SO extremely frustrating. If I don't find one soon. I am going to SCREAM!!!

And it seems they all got them in today. Both Walmarts and Game Stop. How do I know??? Because after I heard the first store had them, I ran around like a crazy person hitting all the closest stores trying to see if I could still manage to get one, but no luck:( Ugh!!!

I really hope I get one soon. We were debating the Xbox, but I think the older Xbox is on it's way out and the new one is just too pricey IMO. I also don't think the Xbox's are geared towards younger kids. It seems to me to be more of a serious gamer type system; for the older gaming crowd. Nintendo just seems have to have more of a selection of the younger kid games.

So next week, I start my searching adventure again. Wish me luck before I go nutty...

Desperately Seeking Wii...

So Victoria and Mattie both asked for a Wii for Christmas. I got the inside scoop that Walmart restocks them during the week between 10:30 and 11. So I was there a few weeks ago...like the week before Thanksiving and I manage to get one. They had at least a dozen or so left after I got mine. So I call Steve and ask him if we are going to buy both that day and he says wait on the other. So foolishly I listened thinking I'd be able to get a hold of another....How wrong I was.

I have spent the last week going to Walmart EVERYDAY and stalking the people in the electronics department. I was there again at 10:30 this morning only to be told that once again the shipment did NOT come in. So I go across the street to Game Stop where the guy behind the counter tells me they don't have any and they don't tell him when they are getting any in...sigh...Thanks alot.

So I drive to the other Walmart by my house...NADA. Then the guy tells me they got a shipment in on Monday!!! I was at the De Zavala Walmart...So now I am going to have to drive to both...in opposite directions everyday until I find one.

I have a friend who lives out of state who says her Walmarts have lots and she offered to buy it and ship it for me. I am thinking I am be taking her up on her offer real soon.

I am kind of at a stand still on my shopping since I can't really buy games for the Wii until we actually have the other Wii, you know???

So PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for me that I might find one tomorrow morning. Does anyone need me to pick up anything for them from Walmart while I am there??? Hee hee

This afternoon I got in a little yard work. My intentions were only to trim a bit off the hedges out front, but passing through the garage I boxed some Halloween stuff Steve had left out and put it back in the storage room. Then I went through some stuff and threw out a few things. After the hedges I swept out the mess of leaves in the courtyard then just went ahead and raked up a bit and picked up all the leaves and put them out to be picked up tomorrow. I still have more raking to do, but I got quite a bit done. I'll work on the rest later.

I was so afraid all that raking and cutting was going to totally aggrivate my allergies (which is why I was putting it off), but so far so good. A little bit of sneezing earlier, but I hopped in the shower and it's all good now:)

Well, I'm in the midst of making dinner so I gotta get back to that...In the meantime, I made a new Christmas wreath that is now hanging on my door. I added a couple more things to it today, so I'll have to update the pic later.

This is my first Christmas decoration to go up. I hope to get a few outdoor things put up soon. Or at least start pulling them out of the garage:) As soon as I get the chair out of our living room, then I can get our tree up. Hopefully this weekend when Steve is home so I don't have to do everything myself. It will make it much more enjoyable.

Recouping...

It's been a long busy weekend. Thanksgiving was really nice. We spent it over at Lal's. Stevie came to spend it with us also. Last year he spent it with his mom. The food was good, we were all together. We had a nice time. Lal and Miguel got Guitar Hero for the Xbox 360, so we took turns doing that. I am not so good at it. Stevie played most, trying to "win" them more songs...which he did:) I didn't really get any pics though:( So not much to scrap for Thanksgiving:(

Mattie had been staying over at Lal's with my mom, we dropped Victoria off at the inlaws and Stevie went back home that night. We went to bed pretty early to rest up for Black Friday shopping. We were up at 4am to be at Walmart before 5. There wasn't too much we wanted/needed, but it's become somewhat of a tradition for us so we were there:)

At Walmart I just got a few things...those wheelie type "shoes" for Victoria and Mattie, some pj's for Mikey and some DVDs for my collection.

We hit Target next. I got a really nice throw blanket for my bed that I'd been wanting, but didn't want to pay $50 for. Got it for $20:), some more DVDs, a video game for the Xbox 360 for Stevie and I got Steve the gold DS with the Zelda game.

Went to M's next. Got two Cricut carts (Base Camp and Tear Drop) and one of those Ott lights. Had been wanting one of those for a while and they had one on sale for $20. These are Xmas presents for me from Steve. He already opened his DS and has been playing it since yesterday so he said I could open my gifts he got me yesterday, but I haven't:)

We went and picked up Victoria after and went for breakfast then came home and took a nice break. Napped a bit, had lunch, watched some TV. I went by HL by Embassy later in the day and found the BG Mellow paper pack. I had already found the Figgy Pudding one the other day; both 1/2 off. Someone on sb.com mentioned they were also carrying Infuse, but I have yet to come across that one. I hope they get some of the other newer ones. I really want Periphery.

So after HL we took Victoria to the movies to see Magorium's Emporium. It was OK. She liked it.

We took Victoria to see Santa Claus today at Ingram. I was expecting a line like last year, but was SO pleasantly surprised to find a line of only about six ppl ahead of us!!! We were done in less than like 20 minutes:) We looked around the mall for a bit. Went to JCPenny and found Victoria quite a few pants for 60% off. She really needs some cause she is just growing SO fast and keeps outgrowing them. Not width wise, but length wise:) Let's see how long these last.

We went by Target later in the day and Steve got me the Ipod docking alarm clock...another Xmas gift:) I can't wait to use that one. I wanted it in pink, but they were out so I just got the black one. Maybe if I find the other one later, I'll take this one back and exchange it for the pink:)

So that's been my long weekend. I just got through watching Music & Lyrics; one of the DVDs I got yesterday. It was really cute and now we are watching Santa Clause 3. We just had some hot chocolate and cookies too:) Yummmy. It's back to the diet on Monday cause I have been so naughty:( So it's back to the couch to relax and wrap up in my throw. Although the colder weather is a welcome change, I hate being cold.

Almost Thanksgiving...

Only a couple more days. We'll be spending it over at Lal's with my mom this year.

Today I hung out over at my mom's for a bit. Lal was over there and we went over to Crossroads. I got some of the Bazzill blingie rubons and a new swatchbook and the BG Figgy Pudding...all 1/2 off:)

Last Sunday I went by Michael's and picked up these awesome 12x12 baskets for only $2!!! My intentions were not to use them for that reason, but when I saw my papers would fit in there, I was psyched:) Now I'm wishing I had picked up more than just four. I grabbed mine on the way into the store (they were in one of those big bins out front) and by the time I walked back out, the bin was CLEANED out!!!

So I came home and reorganzied my area some. I updated my space pic here on my blog so you can see the baskets I am talking about:)

We took the kids to see the Bee Movie on Sunday as well...very funny:) I love Jerry Seinfeld.

We cropped on Saturday and I got four LOs done. We got there about 3 or so and I stayed until about 9:30. Adriana came out too, so they stayed a little later. Lal got 8 LOs done!!!

Here's what I got done:
I actually dug into my stash and used some of my older papers for this one; some Daisy D's French Market, Gypsy and I think I even used a sheet of Attic Heirloom. The butterfly is an Autmn Leaves stamp I stamped on cardstock and then cut out. The title is a Daisy D's rubon. I traced some of the Cosmo Cricket flourish thingies from my paper pack onto thin chipboard, then cut them out and painted with MM paint. I also used my Scribbles on this one and a Prima Sprite.
This one was inspried by a LO I saw on the CK site. It's a pic of me and my little cousin a couple weeks back at a party for his son. This is right before they moved to El Paso for his new job as a border patrol. I used Elsie Riley papers and cardstock Trinkets, some buttons and just plain textured cardstock.

This one was inspired by a LO I saw on 2 Peas. It's a pic of Victoria at the park sitting on the bench with the statue:)...textured cardstock, Bazzill edge cardstock, Primas...Sprites, daisies and some of the roundy petal ones:). I stamped with my HS stamp and cut out the title. Used adhesive gems and some Bobbin Ribbon that looks like a ruler. The lace looking stuff I got at the Dollar Tree. It's paper and it's adhesive backed. I GOTTA get some more of that stuff:) 7 Gypsies journaling card, chipboad flourish and some sheer polka dot ribbon.

I got the idea for this one out of a mag...can't remember which one. I used all Foof A La papers, 7 Gypsies journaling card and arrow turns and some rubons from one of the Swatchbooks. I stamped the heart with one of my Autumn Leaves stamps and then cut it out and mounted on cardstock. This is one I worked on a couple weeks back. It's a pic of Victoria on Halloween. I was just dying to use these Rusty Pickle Pirate Princess papers. The flowers are Doodlebug and DCWV and the letter stickers are Doodlebug Simply Sweet. The skulls are from the Creative Imaginations Skull/Crossbones kit.

My papers came in Monday!!! I ordered my Zoe papers from 2 Peas cause I couldn't find them locally. I can't wait to use them:)

I also ordered some of the Noel line:) TFL

Oooops...

Well, I started to blog on Monday, left to pick up the kids and totally forgot about finishing it up. I turned off the computer and lost what I'd written so far:(...Not that it was anything super exciting as not much has been going on around here, but still...:)

I have been fighting this horrible cough/cold for over a week now. I am finally starting to feel some relief. SO glad:) I've been drinking alot of hot tea. That seems to help alot. I hadn't been getting much sleep cause the cough was keeping me up or waking me up and I couldn't get back to sleep:(

Despite my cold I was still able to get my weekly housework done with the exception of dusting. I am not ready to tackle that cause I know that is going to aggrivate my allergies and I am just beginning to feel better. I also need to trim the hedges outside...but same thing there. The turtle tank needs to be cleaned, but I so despise doing that. I need to get him a new filter though cause I am pretty sure that one has had it.

This Saturday we are cropping at 911 so I need to start getting my stuff ready. I only have one LO sketched out and possibly another. My mojo usually kicks in right before so I am hoping that will be the case.

We are going early so we will have alot of crop night so I need to have alot of LOs planned. Adriana is going to be cropping with us too. I really wish we could get more of our friends to make it out. It's been pretty scarce for a while, but I know everyone gets busy with work and kids and such.

I got a nice surprise in the mail last week. My friend Steph sent me a $20 gc to Hobby Lobby. Woo hoo!!! Can't wait for them to have a good sale so I can go do some shopping:) Thanks Steph!!!

I have not been working out since this whole cough/cold thing, but last night I did 10 minutes on the Eliptical before I took a shower. I weighed myself this morning and was surprised that I hadn't put on as much weight as I thought I had:) I only need to lose 5lbs. That is totally doable before Thanksgiving:)

Well, I am off to grocery shop and stop by the LSS for something I need for one of the LOs I am working on this weekend. I sure hope they have what I need.

I got a couple of LOs done, but have to take pics and upload. I'll put them up on my next post and probably this weekend's work as well:)

Update to Now...

So Halloween went well. We got a bit of an early start. Victoria and I both dressed up as pirates and Mattie was Superman. We gave out a little bit of candy, then Steve took the kids up and down our street and up the next street. They got a good amount of candy. When they got back, we gave out some more candy for a bit longer, then we called it a night. We didn't get a whole lot of trick or treaters again. Last year was pretty slow too, but we anticipated and didn't buy a whole lot of treats. We wrapped it all up and the kids were showered and in bed by 9pm:)I picked up my mom on Thursday evening and we spent Friday shopping around. Elijah came over Friday; Steve picked him up after work and he spent the weekend with us. I hadn't seen him in quite a while, nor had the kids, so they were all really excited.

I also got my box of goodies from sb.com. My friend Ang got me a $45 GC for my birthday and here's all the goodies it paid for:

I also baked up a couple of Duncan Hines dump cakes. Gosh, I LOVE this stuff!!! We went through an entire one that very evening. Yuuummmy:POK...I am just loving this little guy. Too bad it is seasonal. I found him at Walmart. He was part of the Halloween stuff. It's called Prettyfreekinscary. I got this bobble head, a stuffed one and lots of other cool stuff:
Saturday we got up early and took the kids to eat at Burger King for breakfast. I planned on taking them to the park afterwards, but there was some sort of Health Fair or something going on there and there was no parking and TONS of ppl so we came back home and they played games and stuff all day then I took them back to the park in the evening. We stopped for chocolate dipped cones on the way home and then I made them hot dogs for dinner. I started getting a bit of a headache and took a little nap after dinner.

I also got a chance to work on this LO Saturday during the day. It's a lift off of either sb.com or 2Peas...can't remember. I picked up the Flair Autumn paper pack at HL and used my 40% off coupon and got a really good deal:) Other products used: American Crafts felt ric rac, Scribbles, 7 Gypsies journaling card, Heidi Swapp bloom, MM paint, Sizzix cut chipboard alphas; Doodleblock and flower gems from the Target $ Spot.

Sunday was another early start especially with the whole time change. The kids were up REALLY early. I woke up with a bit of a sore throat, but it wasn't too bad. We went for breakfast then dropped my mom off back home. We headed to the air show at Randolph. It was sooo cool. The kids had a pretty good time even though there was lots of walking involved. It was a great day; not too hot and a nice breeze blowing.

As the afternoon went on, my throat started hurting a bit more and by the early afternoon, it was killing me. I could hardly swallow. We dropped off Elijah and headed home. By this point my body was aching horribly. The minute I walked in the door I took a shower and went to bed. I was in bed by 7pm!!! I anticipated waking up feeling ALOT worse this morning, but fortunately I don't feel too bad. My body is still VERY achy, but my throat is nowhere near as bad as yesterday. I've got a bit of a cough and my throat's a little scratchy. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

I've spent most of the day doing chores I neglected over the weekend and my weekly cleaning. I'm not quite done yet, but I'm taking it kind of easy since I'm not really feeling 100%. Well, gotta get back to work. I'm starting to feel icky again, so I might just lie down for a bit before I continue.

What's Going On...

The weather has been so much cooler and nicer. Saturday I went to my mom's and then to a birthday/graduation party at my aunt's house. They had a dinner for my cousin who just graduated from school for the border patrol and they also had his oldest son's birthday party. They will be moving to El Paso very soon for his job, so they had the birthday party here before so that they could celebrate with family before they left. My unlce made lasagna and it is the best!!! I LOVE my uncle's cooking:)

Sunday was chill day; just hung around the house. I went by 911 in the late afteroon and picked up quite a bit of goodies; some that I needed for a LO I started on. I got two canisters of Pressed Petals, some HS chipboard alphas, a sheet of BG Periphery that I did not have and NEEDED:), a couple of MM paints in Fall colors and a few other things:)

Monday I went to HL and bought me some nice goodies for my birthday last week. I was waiting for a good sale and this week was pretty good. I picked up the new Daisy D's cardstock stickers; some of the Christmas ones and Fall/Halloween ones, like four different punches and three packs of Cat's Eye chalk inks... I am in love with those:)

Yesterday was a catch up on my chores day. I cleaned house and made the goodies bags for Victoria's class for Halloween. Today I finished up the LO I started working on on Sunday...
This is a lift of a mini album that I saw on Two Peas. The paper is Flair; from a Thanksgiving kit. The chipboard letters are HS; family and MM jigsaw painted with MM paint; ties. The primitive silhoutte heart and the brackets are Cricut cut. Flowers are Primas; Pressed Petals and a variety of others. Also used MM In Bloom brads, some Junkitz buttonz and gingham ribbon. I used a Fancy Pants chipboard flourish to trace onto cardstock and then cut it out with my Cutterbees. I outlined with my Signo pen. I traced the scallops onto my cardstock using a sheet of Bazzill edged cardstock. The "tab" on the heart I made using a McGil punch and the word rubon on it is MM. I used Autumn Leaves stamps on the "tag" behind the title and a small P.Etc. cardstock sticker tag hangs off the ribbon with a small safety pin:)

Something else I worked on today. Finally got around to carving those foam pumpkins we got on clearance last year at M's. I had been wanting to make some "arrangements" in them like I had seen at M's, so this is what I came up with:)

K...I really need to get in the shower and go to bed. Today was not a fun morning. And the cooler mornings make it really hard to climb out of the nice, warm bed into the cold:(

Happy Birthday to US!!! :)

Today Lal and I celebrate our 36th birthday...Wow!!! 36...that's a big number:( I seriously still feel like a kid in a grown ups body:) So Happy Birthday, Lal. I hope it's a good one. I hope the kids will behave themselves today. I know that would be the best gift they could give you...Especially Mikey:)

So I got some early bday gifts from Victoria last night. I got this silver "dog tag" necklace. The dog tag has a pic of her on it. Really cute:) Also got a charm bracelet from James Avery and two charms. One says "I love you" and the other is a car key in honor of my getting my license this year:) I thought the key was for a new car...LOL...yeah, wishful thinking.

So I have the whole day free and nothing to do. I am trying to think of something. Maybe some scrapping, but I need ink for my printer. I'd like to do a little sb shopping since none of my gift included sb goodies:( Like I really need anything else. But still...it'd be nice:)

So we had our second challenge for our private site. I can't seem to find the right pic of my LO even though I have searched and searched. So here it is:

OK...in the "lost" pic the edge of the background cardstock is inked in brown so it doesn't look so plain. The paper is Daisy D's Gypsy Harvest. Hadn't really used that and the new Fall is out already:) DCWV scalloped edge cardstock, Daisy D's Fall in Love cardstock stickers and chipboard titles, Queen & Co. Felt Fusion, Colorbok raw chipboard "autumn", MM paint in Espresso, blooms and Button Ups. TFL

My sis printed me out that blue jouranling frame off somewhere:) TFL:)

Saturday's Crop LOs

We cropped at 911 on Saturday. We had to leave early cause Miguel had to work the next day. We got there like at 5 and left about 9. We went back to Lal's, ordered pizza and cropped some more. We went to bed about 1pm:)

Here's what I got done...

This one has to be one of my all time faves. I lifted this off of snoopie from TwoPeas gallery. I used Mellow Papers, Bazzill cardstock, Imaginesce Bling bloom, Autumn Leaves flourish stamps, Daisy D's chipboard titles, Heidi Swapp bloom, Heidi Swapp chipboard alphas, mini brads, Primas, Scribbles, Paper Studio polka dot biggie brad, MM Heidi rubon alphas and buttons.

I was dying to work on this one. I lifted this off ScrapNKary on sb.com. I absolutely love this photo. I ordered the papers for this one online and they got here JUST in time. Papers are Elsie Roxie line as well as the cardstock Trinkets. Other supplies...textured cardstock, ribbons, Doodlebug bloom, Prima Esprit, Paper Studio polka dot button, Basic Grey flourish rubons and American Crafts Remarks.

This inspiration for this one came from someone's blog. I wish I could remember whose:( I used DCWV scalloped edge cardstock, textured cardstock, Foof A La Blackbird pp, Urban Lily pp that I cut with my Cutterbees, Heidi Swapp "moment" stamp, MM "cherish" rubon and Heidi rubon alphas to spell "the".

I think this one still needs SOMETHING. I used black textured cardstock and cut the French Twist paper with my Cutterbees. The two other patterns are French Twist as well. The other is Creative Imaginations. Also used a bit of Queen & Co. felt ribbon. I'll update this one once I add to it:)

Update on the happenings around here. Last Friday was early release. Mattie went to spend the weekend with my mom. Saturday morning we got up early and went to breakfast then Victoria and I did a little shopping at Target:) We found these really cool Max Clips that we had been looking for for her Disney MP3 player thingie. These play actual full length movies. We got the Cheetah Girls 2 and High School Musical:) Afterwards we went for a walk at the park; just the two of us:)

We had a birthday party that afternoon, so we came home and got ready. The party was at 1:30 at Peter Piper's. Afterwards, I stopped at the Big Lots next door and found these really cool Provo Craft chipboard letter tiles...too bad there was only three boxes and they were all the same color. I got them all and gave one to Lal;)

We came home and I got ready from crop. Crop night went well. Like I said, we went home early, but still scrapped at Lal's.

The next day while out and about I notice a "rash" on Victoria which Steve says he had noticed the night before. It looked pretty bad. So we get home and I get her in the bath and it seems to look somewhat worse.

The next morning was NOT good. It looked just as bad and really red and somewhat "inflamed". I am remember that she ran a fever the previous Monday-Wednesday that mysteriously just "went away" and I am looking at the "rash" and guessing she has Roseola or Fifth Disease.

I took her in so the school nurse could take a look and she guessed the same thing, but asked that I take her to the dr. and confirm just to make sure it wasn't something else that was contagious. So I was lucky enough to get her in at 11:20 and the dr. confirmed. She also said that she sounded like she was getting an asthmatic cough and prescribed some meds and a chamber (which the insurance didn't cover and was $57!!!). So I had to run and get those filled.

She was back to school the next day, but the rash comes and goes (which the dr. said it would) and today is a particularly noticeable day. It has now spread to the tops of her legs:( Hopefully it will start fading soon. This is what she looks like today...

FYI...it looks worse than it is. She's not terribly itchy or anything, but it does look really bad. At this point, when the rash erupts, she is no longer contagious. The week prior is the contagious stage which is tough, cause there really aren't many symptoms other than the low grade fever and possibly a sore throat or little bit of a runny nose. Symptoms associated with a cold or something which is what I thought it was. Which is probably how she caught it too; off someone at school who didn't know they had it either:(

A LO for Steph

The other day while IMing with my friend Stephanie who lives in St. Louis, she showed me this pic of her and her son Victor. I thought it was such a beautiful picture, I asked her if I could scrap it for her. I worked on it today and this is what I came up with. I really hope she likes it. It was inspired by a LO I saw on the veggie site by a member named snoopie. I loved so many things in her gallery and her great style. I'm sure I'll be doing some more in the very near future:) So here it is...

I used a sheet of my Bazzill Edge cardstock to trace onto the blue background cardstock and then cut it out with my Cutterbees. I did the same with the lighter patterned MME paper as well except using a smaller scallop. The papers are MME Wild Asparugus except for the text paper that is Paper Studio and the solid brown which is MME Bohemian. Oh, the blue and brown that is peeking out behind the pic is also MME Bohemian:)

I used Scribbles paints to make the circles. I used white and glitter gold. I love the look of that. Now I gotta stock up on Scribbles;) Other products...Prima daisies, Plain Janes chipboard flourishes, MM paint in Espresso, buttons, stitched groisgrain ribbon, Bazzill chip, Heidi Swapp bloom, Autumn Leaves flourish stamp and BG white flourish rubon.

Scrap Challenge

Today I worked on a LO for a challenge on our private site. It was my turn to host a challenge. The challenge was to use your stamps. Here's what I came up with...I used all Foof A La papers; red, black and cream as well as the buttons, chipboard alphas are Heidi Swapp. The stamps I used were my Autumn Leaves flourish stamp, my Sassafras owl stamps and my new Autumn Leaves whimsical frames stamp.

Here's a pic of some yummy Heidi Swapp stuff I picked up at 911 the other day.

And some really cool finds at Big Lots. I also found other 12x12 textured cardstock packs that are not in the pic:)
Tonight Mattie went to his first school dance:) He was really excited and came home and showered up and everything...so cute:) I remember school dances when I was in middle school. Ours were not in the evening though. They were right after school. Ah...to be young again:)

Is it Fall???

Well, I believe yesterday was the first day of Fall. You'd never know it from our weather though. Today my van was being worked on again so I had to walk to pick up Victoria from school. Granted it isn't a very long walk, it WAS pretty hot. It's funny how quickly we get accustomed to doing things the easy way. Last year I was walking back and forth every morning and afternoon to take her to and from school. I sure don't miss that.

I am sooo looking forward to some cooler mornings. We had a couple last week. So nice you just wanted to stay outside. October is just around the corner. We have already shopped for Halloween costumes. Victoria chose a pirate and Matthew chose Superman. I can't wait to take pics and scrap some Halloween LOs. Maybe this year I won't wait so long to get them scrapped:)

So in honor of Fall, I will be hosting a Fall RAK. Just post a comment in my blog and let me know what you love about Fall and I will let my daughter draw a name next week. I will be sending you a nice RAK of Fall embellies:)

I tried doing a little scrapping today, but I was in a bit of a funky mood and didn't get much done. Tomorrow I need to run to the store and do my grocery shopping.

My mom went home today. Actually to Lal's. She spent the last few days here cause someone tried to break into her house on Monday. They managed to pull off the window screens and break one of the bedroom windows. They didn't take anything, but we are not sure whether or not they made it into the house. No one knows what set off the alarm. Alot of good it does to have an alarm system when the company didn't even dispatch police. Ugh!!!

Yesterday was picture day for Victoria. Here's a quick pic I took before school.

Two For Today...

I got some scrapping done today:) The van was supposed to get worked on today, but was postponed until tomorrow...but while I was "stuck" at home, I managed to get two LOs done:)
I got this idea from a card I saw on 2 Peas. Lal pointed it out to me today and I remembered I had it "bookmarked". The background paper is Creative Imaginations, the polka dot paper is Bo Bunny Front Porch and the black paper behind the heart is Foof A La. I also used a Jenni Bowlin "bingo card" and journaling sticker. I stamped an Autumn Leaves flourish and then hand cut it out, The heart is Cricut cut; George cart, Prima Daisy, Junkitz button and gingham ribbon. Also used my Technique Tuesday stamps for the "stitching".This one was inspired by a LO on sb.com, I believe. I used Elsie Riley paper and Scenic Route grid paper. Brakcets are Sizzix cut. I used my Elsie Riley alpha stamps I got yesterday at HL for $1!!! Stamped on white cardstock with Cat's Eye and then cut them out. Used Paper Studio cardstock alpha stickers in black and some star rubons I got at 911 a while back. Hand written journaling on strips I hand cut. TFL:)

911 Transplant...

Saturday was the 911 transplant sale. We got there about 9:30 to set up and the line was already wrapped arond the side of the store. There was tons of ppl there and there was tons of goodies. I got some really great deals.

All these goodies and I only spent $40!!!

Well, we made $130 at the sale. $30 of it was Lal's, so I made $100. Here's some goodies I bought with my store credit:)
