Last LO for MM

It's done. I got my last LO done for our MM Challenge. Besides the "homemade" background paper we had to choose 4 items from a list of things. I chose b/w photo, chipboard, paint and handcut title:) The chipboard is Fancy Pants and I used MM paints on them. TFL

Happy Mail Day

I got a nice suprise in the mail today. A nice little package all the way from Hawaii:) My friend Dana sent me my Easter Pal Swap goodies and some nice things for my prize in the February Challenge.

Thank you so much, Dana. I love it all. I can't wait to use my goodies:)

I'm Free at 3

Here's a LO I just finished up today. It's one I didn't get around to at Saturday night's crop. This LO was inspired by an Old Navy t-shirt my daughter has:) Hope you all like it:)

I used American Craft Play papers, a varitey of numbers "3"s; Heidi Swapp, Chatterbox, Marcella by Kay stickers. The title and hearts were cut out with my Cricut. I used my Autumn Leaves flourish stamps and did some free hand writing:) I used a Prima embossed bird die cut and some paisley die cuts someone on sb.com sent me a LONG time ago. I doodled a little "design" on them.

Here's the shirt that inspired it all:

Ooops

Forgot to add the last pic. Here it is...

Monday, March 26, 2007

Well I've been a little busy these last couple of days. Saturday night was our monthly crop. Me, my sis and Tammy usually go. Adriana made it out this time too. It was alot of fun:) I live for our crops. I got a few LOs done that night and bought some things. I just LOVE the Pizzazill letters. I bought like five different colors after I used them on this LO I worked on that night.

This LO was inspired by a LO done by a member of sb.com (zeebootee). I just LOVE it:)

Here's what else I worked on that night. A couple of LOs using the Creative Imaginations Skull and Xbones and the Caution Girl collections. The girl one is a lift from the site. Can't remember the name to give credit to though:(

I also got a LO done yesterday that I had sitting on my desk for a while. Still trying to catch up on those Christmas pics:)

More goodies in the mail today. Those Lil' Davis scalloped tags that Janey used for her tag book. I HAD to have them. Also got some Plain Jane scalloped shapes. I am all about the scalloped right now:)

We had some terrible rain today so hubby got to take the day off. This is the first Monday we have had to ourselves since he went to work with his brother. It was nice. Just like old times:) We went by Big Lots and found the cutest little "purse" album. It has those slide in sleeves for pics, but I am going to use it to put my altered deck of cards in when I get started:)

Just wanted to share one last pic. My sis sent me this today during IM. A pic of my Mookey Monkey. I "spoke" to him today on the computer mic. He is getting so big and I love to hear him "talk". I LOVE my Mooks:)

OK...I lied...this is the last pic. It's a pic of us scrapbooking at 911 this past Saturday. I just have to say I LOVE that place. Everyone there is so nice and it just feels like home. I went into another local SB place today, just to see what they had available and I found nothing. It just didn't compare. 911 is just the best place to go.

K...that is it for tonight. I'm headed to bed.

Just wanted to share a mini challenge from our scrap group. The challenge was to use chipboard and paint and embellish at least three times. I was inspired by a tag book made by Janey:)

I used Lil' Davis Strawberry Glitter Glaze, Heidi Swapp chipboard flower and heart. The flower was yellow, so I sanded it and painted it pink with some MM paint. The chipboard letters are Paper Studio and I embellished the "L" with some adhesive gems. Also used a Bazzill blossom, gem brad, XO brads, Jo Ann's acrylic piece, Doodlebug rubon stitches and some ribbons.

The pic is of hubby and I at Fiesta Texas this past weekend.

MM Challenge LO

Here is my LO for the MM challenge. We had to choose from three song lyrics to base our LO on. I chose James Blunt "You're Beautiful". We also had to use photo corners and something metal. I used a pin for the center of one of my flowers. Another requirement was to use two different colors of cardstock and three different patterns of paper. Also use a doodle or stamp. I did both:) I used my doodle genie for the doodle:) The papers are from the DCWV Once Upon A Time collection. I LOVE all that glitter:)

Happy Mail Day

I got some fabulous goodies in the mail today that I ordered at the end of last week. I just gotta say, "that was fast". If anyone is interested KTCrafts is where I ordered from and the shipping charges are also very reasonable. This is also where I purchased my Wishblade last year. Anyway, here's what came today:

I had been searching for these Primas for quite some time. Someone sent me some for a trade on sb.com once and I fell in LOVE with them. Also got two of the Chatterbox Doodle Genies. Sb.com seemed to forever be out of stock of these. And when they came in, they flew out the door. These things were going fast. So I was able to get them here. I can't wait to try them out:)

Monday, Steve and I had our Wishblade class at 911. I just gotta say, Mike really got me psyched about using my machine. I hadn't been able to do much with it since I got it for my birthday last year. I think I have used it more in the last couple of days than I have in all in the time I've owned it. It is just awesome!!!

I picked up another pack of the bra/panty Primas while I was there; in blue:) And got the Lil' Davis Strawberry glaze. Also got some of the new MME Signature Life papers. I just love them:)

We are cropping at 911 on Saturday, so I spent a good deal of time today getting my LOs together. I live for crop night:)

Can You Ssy, "More New Scrap Goodies"???

Well, I hit the LSS last night and picked me up some more goodies. I am still using up my store credit from the garage sale. One of the girls told me they are planning the next one for September and they are already selling tables so I went ahead and got mine too. Just to be on the safe side. I got the LAST table at the last sale, so I don't want to wait until the last minute this time.

So, here's some pics of what I got:

Someone on our private scrap site mentioned using these Lil' Davis glitter glazes to cover chipboard so I had to go and pick some up to try out. I had been wanting something to use on chipboard shapes and alphas and such to get that "glittery" effect and all I have to say is, "I am in LOVE with these". They are amazing. I am working on an embellishment for our MM challenge and I used it on a couple of chipboard flowers. They look AMAZING!!! So I just gotta say a quick "thanks" to Laura (scrapnfor3) from our site for posting about these:)

Here's a pic of the chipboard flower. It isn't quite done. I want to add something to the center and maybe something else.

Also loving the new Daisy D's Chasing Butterflies and Beacon Hill. The last time I was in, I managed to steer clear, but I picked some up last night. I can't wait to work with these:)

And I had no idea that Signature had new lines. I loved all the new papers, but I think I'm gonna wait a bit on these. I really need to start working with some of the things I have, but I did pick up a couple of the really cute journaling tags.

Ooo, also picked up a couple of mini Primas. I thought I had picked up some black ones the last time, but was mistaken:(

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

My second post of the day:) I did a little shopping this evening once again. I had been cooped up in the house for the last three days with this rain and all. We finally got out for a while when hubby got home from work. I found some cute things at Target and on clearance for 50% off. What more could you ask for??? :)

I picked up the smaller paper pads in hopes of doing some smaller projects like some mini albums and such. I am currently working on a little something for my sis cause she kept buggin' me to "make her something":) So I am, Lal:) And in working on this today, I realized that I don't have a whole lot of pics of me and my sis together. I guess since we are always the ones behind the camera, we just don't get too many pics with us in them. I think we definately need to plan our own little photo shoot next time we get together;)

Another find for today...CHOCOLATE bubble gum!!! This stuff is delcious. I found it while waiting in the checkout line at Target. Yuuuuummmmy:)

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Well I finally finished up my MM Challenge LO for a month long challenge on our private site. I stayed up well past 1am getting it done and I added the finishing touches this morning. The pic is a little dark. It's pretty cloudy here today:(

I was inspried by these idea cards I picked up at 911 the other night. They were for the new Daisy D's lines; Beacon Hill and Chasing Butterflies. I sooooo wanted to get some of that paper and it took all my will power not to. I still have so much of the Heirloom, Gypsy Harvest and French Market that I need to use. And these papers worked great in place of the new ones.

We've been having alot of rain here lately, so we haven't been doing much. Not much of a Spring Break for the kids. Hopefully it will clear up this weekend so we can go and get our Fiesta Texas passes and take the kids out for the day. They have really been looking forward to going since last week.

Sunday, March 11, 2007

Today started off a little hectic. We forgot to move our clocks for Daylight Savings. We had to be at church at 11:30 and we didn't get up until 10, so we really had to rush. My inlaws are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary and they were being blessed during mass, so we had to be there:)

We stopped for donuts for the kids on the way there, so that was their ever so nutricious breakfast:) We were still a little late and walked in after mass had already started. It was a nice mass. We haven't been in quite a while. We definately want to go back and get the kids back in Sunday school.

Afterwards we went out to lunch with Steve's parents. We went to a new Chinese restaurant and I must say, I was terribly disappointed. It was the worst. I hardly ate any of my food. Which just goes to confirm my strict, "don't try new places" policy. I like what I like and I don't like experimenting with food and places that I might not like. Won't be doing that again any time soon.

So I did a little more shopping today. Went to Michael's and picked up this Caution paper pack. It was the new Michael's Grand Opening so they had a 50% off coupon. Didn't find much else I wanted or needed, so I used the coupon for this:

Also went to Walmart to do our grocery shopping and picked me up a little something. How great is it to find sb goodies at the same place you can buy food:)

Oh, stopped in at the Dollar Tree too to look for these little "purses" my sis had picked up last week. She altered one for me and it came out sooo beautiful. I just had go and look for some to try to alter myself. I remember her saying that the ones she found weren't very attractive and were perfect to alter and cover, but the ones I found today I thought were pretty darn cute to begin with:

Saturday, March 10, 2007

Hubby got off early today so we got to do a little running around. He had been working so late this whole week, we hadn't had the chance to do much.

I went by Scrapbook 911 to pick up some of those yummy new Primas I saw on the site last night. I was so tempted to go in last time after I checked out the blog. I was so worried there would be no Primas left by the time I got there today. My worries were justifiable. There were only about six mini jars left:( I can not believe how fast they went:( I did get to pick up a couple of bottles though, but there were a few others that I really wanted and they were out:(

I also picked up some of these really cool embossed "die cuts" ...also by Prima and these really cute tiny packs of Prima flowers. I got a couple other packs of Primas and a few sheets of the new Basic Grey Perhaps line that I didn't have yet:)

We went out to dinner and then I hit the Hobby Lobby out by there. I picked up a few things I'd had my eye on as well:)

I am loving these DCWV Pocket Full of Posies glitter flowers. I think I need to pick up another pack next time I am there. I wasn't too impressed with the Once Upon A Time pack. Not all the die cuts are glittery like the Posies. I definately need to pick up the Posies pack pack next time Hobby Lobby has their paper on sale.

I can't wait to try out all my new goodies. The kids will be home all week for Spring Break so I should get some good scrapping time while they entertain each other. Hopefully, I'll get to go over to my sis' house for a little cropping:)

Friday, March 9,2007

I started these last night and finished them up this morning. I tried my hand at making my own chipboard embellies. I was inspired by the challenge in Elsie Flannigan's book to try to make your own chipboard embellishments. I really like the way they turned out.
I used white chipboard to cut the primitive hearts and stars with my Sizzix. The flowers are cut out of this white, much thinner "chipboard". I used those little "envelopes" that you get out of the coin machines where you can get a big sticker or temporary tatoo and cut the flowers with my Whale of a Punch retro flower. Then I just filled then with my American Crafts markers and some brush tip markers my friend Ang sent me (Thanks, Ang:). I then outlined with my black Zig.
So, this was my little "project" for today. I had some time on my hands today since Victoria went back to school today. She had been home since last Thursday. She came home from school with a fever on Wednesday and had been out until yesterday. Luckily, it wasn't the flu, but she had been quite under the weather. She was really anxious to get back. Today is the last day before school lets out for Spring Break though so it was a really short week for her.

Tuesday, March 6, 2007-Update

I just finished my LO for our March Madness challenge. We had to use a sketch that was posted and this is what I came up with:

Tuesday, March 6, 2007

Well, I am finally getting around to working on my blog. I have to admit it isn't very easy...at least not for me. I hope to get this all worked out by the end of this week so that I can start posting and keeping it up.

Things have been pretty hectic here the last week or so. My daughter has been sick and home from school since last week. I haven't been getting much sleep since she's been coughing alot at night. I have to keep making the rounds; checking her temp and keeping up with her meds.

On that note, here are a couple of pics of my kids and my nephews:)
