I No Longer Wish to Be a Vampire:(...

So as you might have guessed by my "title", I have been completely obsessed with the Twilight series ever since I saw the movie. After reading those books who wouldn't dream about being in Bella's shoes....sigh...Anyway, back to my point...

So my allergies had been bothering me for a while on and off for a bit. Yesterday afternoon my throat was really starting to bug me more. I can NOT stand a sore throat. Anyone who knows me, knows this. I consider myself to be a person with a pretty high tolerance for pain, but I am a total and complete baby when it comes to a sore throat, an earache or a toothache. I would seriously prefer to give birth again than to suffer from any of the mentioned above...Seriously..

So I took some OTC meds and went to bed rather early for myself; before 10pm. I wasn't sleeping well. The meds effects didn't last too long. My throat was still bothering me. I woke up a few times and would swallow and feel the pain:( Then 4am rolls around and I am up again and in such excruciating pain. Literally I felt like my throat was on fire!!! I got up to take some more meds and grabbed my bottle of water from the fridge. OMG!!! Swallowing the cold water was pure torture.

So this totally made me think of Edward in the Twilight books...how he describes the buring in his throat when he catches Bella's scent...and how the newborn vampires have to go through this until the learn to "adjust"...Ugh!!! I can't even imagine. So yeah...I don't want to be a vampire anymore...uh uh...not for me;)

I ended up on the couch in the living room, dosing on and off. Finally got to sleep a little before the kids had to get up...sigh...but Steve stayed later and helped me out. The meds had taken the edge of the soreness a bit and I considered waiting to see how it went before deciding to go to the doctor, but the more I thought of the awful pain this morning, I decided I'd better go.

I'm so thankful I did. I got a shot of a steriod for one, some antibiotics and some Allerga D. I was not in good shape. So $64 later (no scrap shopping for me this week; no insurance bites) I am on the road to recovery. Hopefully it will be a quick one;) So Steve stayed home from work, was very quiet so I could nap and picked up the kids for me.

I've still been napping on and off for the rest of the day. I can only be up for short periods of time then I just feel completely exhausted and need to go lay down again:( I am dreading tonight. My sore throat is slowly creeping back and I am terrified of a replay of last night. I just made me a nice hot herbal tea; lemon zinger. It's yummy and very soothing. I gotta take my meds again at 10 then I'm gonna have a nice hot shower and try to get some more sleep. I'm sleeping out on the couch as not to "contaminate" anyone as the doctor said being too close to anyone could be contagious, so better safe than sorry. We do not need another sick person in the house...at least not while I am sick as well.

So that was my lovely day;) I planning a little blog give away soon, so be sure to check back. I hope to get it up on here as soon as I'm feeling better. Hope everyone has a nice restful night. I'll be walking around my house while everyone sleeps...hopefully not;) LOL

Vday Cards...

We are cold today. I woke up to ice on my hood and windsheild and I had to struggle to get my doors open. Too cold:(

Some cards I was working on yesterday.

The last card was a lift off someone's blog; Char. She does lovely cards:)

On the first card I used some of the Coredinations cardstock, embossed with a Cuttlebug folder then lightly sanded the top to show the inner core. The tag is MME and I stamped on that with one of the M's $ bin stamps. Used my Threading Water for the border. Background pp is BG Blush.

Second card I used some Paper Studio pp (the blue damask) and CI (black w/ blue polka dots). The dimensional sticker is K&Co. (new Vday line). Autumn Leaves flourish stamp, some Prima and polka dot buttons. Used my scalloped circle punches behind the dimensional sticker.

Last card...all Pink Paislee. Cricut cut and punched out scalloped circles. MME metal sign, groisgrain ribbon and a Lil' Davis bloom.

Gotta run Mattie to a dr. appointment. Be back later:)

It's Just Another Manic Monday...

I don't feel like I got any rest this past weekend. I didn't get to sleep in not one single day:( It went by so fast.

Friday I got up earlier than usual to get the kids off to school and get my chores done before I left the house. I went to pick up my mom...and Lal, Lij and Mikey came too. Saturday was my mom's birthday, but we chose to "celebrate" Friday. We did some shopping. Went to HL at Crossroads. Bought my mom some wind chimes she wanted. Bought nothing for myself. Went by J's...bought nothing again. Then we went to M's. Bought lots;)

Finally found this MS punch I'd been looking for and got to use my 40% off coupon on it too:)Then I wandered to the back of the store where the empty bins had been and found all this totally cute Colorbok stuff. I didn't get much. There were SO many things. I got only what I thought I'd use. Everything was only $1!!!

I also got some K&Co. Vday dimensional stickers, a couple of storage boxes and these cute little Recollections dimensional bee stickers. I don't know where that pic is...???

We took my mom to eat at Sea Island. Very yummy. Then Miguel met up with us there so when we were done, Lal and the kids went home with Miguel and I took my mom to Big Lots. We went and picked up the kids and took my mom back home. Dropped Mattie off there too.

Saturday was the 911 garage sale. So again...had to wake up early. Dropped V off with my MIL. Then since I wasn't too far from my mom's, I called Lal to see if she wanted to come and we went and picked her up.

When we got to 911, of course there was already a line. We were quite a ways back, there weren't as many people as in previous sales. Once we got in though, it was so hard to move around. Literally, we could not get to the tables:( I got a few things, but not much. Women were just grabbing left and right:( So here is what I did get:

All these goodies only cost me $12 plus tax!!! :) There was so much more I wanted that I missed out on:( Oh, well...

So my mom wanted an apple pie for her birthday instead of a cake so I went by Marie Callendar's and picked one up for her then we went back to her house. We ate lunch, ate pie and watched a movie; Seven Pounds. I didn't finish watching the end part, but Steve ruined it for me on the drive home...sigh.

So we went back to 911 to pick up my leftover which turned out to be just a few things. I made a grand total of $243 and change!!! Yay!!! That's lots of new goodies;) I spent like $30 on some things I had on hold and some I put aside that morning...

Afterwards, we went by Tuesday Morning and I was lucky enough to find 2 more MM 3 ring binder albums. I found 2 a while back, but that was it. I'd been wanting some 3 ring ones, but didn't want to pay for the AC ones. These were only $6.99!!!So now I have four of these albums. That should last me a bit:) I also found these AC paper packs that someone on sb.com posted about. I got these 3 packs...On the way home we stopped for dinner at this Mexican restaurant by our house; Matamoros. It was pretty good. Not great, but not bad. Came home and watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Sunday was another early morning. We went out to breakfast then took the kids to see Inkheart. It was a very good movie. Then we went to The Rim and I went by M's and found these goodies...

This stuff was marked down to like 90% off. The 12x6 albums were only 89 cents, the stamps were $1.49 and the chipboards were like $1!!! All this cost me like $7!!! This was all they had though besides a bunch of fibers. Had there been any more I would have cleaned them out;)

More fun goodies from T's...

I LOVE that little owl. It's supposed to be a place card holder. I only found the one. It is too stinkin' cute!!! The cards with the little owls are from the $ spot as well as the cupcake towels which are from the $2.50 stuff though. The little box with the birds is also $1.

And today I got my order from 2Peas. I had $40 credit; $20 from my PeaPal from the Christmas swap and $20 I got from the 20/$20 thing going on over on 2Peas.

A sheet of Jenni Bowlin paper and a pack of the artisan mini papers, two sheets of Pink Paislee cupcake, two sheets of Fancy Pants Splendid and two sheets of Sassfras. I accidentally clicked on the wrong sheet. It was supposed to be the green paper that looks like a crossword puzzle, but instead I got that one with stripey thingies on it:( SO loving that little owl die. There are so many new super cute QuiKutz dies. There was a deer, a hedgehog, a squirrel...way cute stuff:)

I got my grocery shopping done very early this morning; right after I dropped off the kids at school. Got all my cleaning done today too. I am hoping to get some scrapping done tomorrow. Wednesday Mattie has a dr. appointment for a refill on his meds, so that is going to take up a good part of my day. Gotta do the appointment and then go take and wait on the meds.

Today was a rather warm day; kind of drizzling for the better part of the morning, but cleared up and sunny by the afternoon. I think it's supposed to cool down again, so we'll see. Today was not too bad of an allergy day. I think the drizzle helped some. Let's see how tomorrow goes. Have a great night:)

Update for the Day...

So this afternoon I started working on this LO. It was a lift off the blog of Jane Jones. I finished it this evening...
I converted the original pic to black and white. I like the way it looks against these colors. The papers are MM Chelsea's Place. The exclusive line M's carried sometime last year. Except for the burduny dotty; that is MME Wild Asparagus. The flower/viney thingies were cut out of one of the sheets of pp. The artisan journaling sheet is Noteworthy. Tim Holtz addage ticket, Chelsea's Place pebble clip. I used some adhesive pearls on some of the cut out flowers. The "me & you" was cut out with my Cricut and the Graphically Speaking cart. I HEART that cart. The butterfly is a clear stamp I got at J's a while back. I stamped it twice on cardstock, cut them both out and "layered" them for more dimension. TFL:)

I HATE Mountain Cedar:(

Not much going on around here other than sneezing, blowing my nose and wanting to scratch my eyes out:( Although I have to admit that my allergies are nowhere near as bad as they have been in previous years, it's still not fun:(

I have done no scrapping, but I have purged some more for the 911 garage sale this Saturday. I am debating going through one more time and getting rid of some more, but I'm just not in the mood. Maybe later today. I don't have much more time to prepare.

I have one goodie pic to share. I ordered this a couple weeks back and got it last week. I'm sure I mentioned it...the new DCWV Green Stack...

I also got the chipboards. TOO cute. Now I just gotta use it;)

Oh, I worked on this yesterday evening. Got the idea from the Scrapbooks Etc. mag pictured...

I'm so loving all things cupcakes...well especially REAL cupcakes;) There is this Archiver's exclusive die that I am dying to get my hands on. It is the cutest cupcake ever:)

That is about all going on in my little corner of the world. Hoping to do something scrappy today...in between sneezes;) Have a great day!!!

One More...

Got this one done today. Started it last night. It's a lift off of the LO Lal did yesterday. Paper Studio black grid pp and damask pp, T's $ Spot heart diecut paper, Marcella by Kay dimensional hearts and labels, Fancy Pants valentines cards pp, pink Bazzill pompoms, MM black tiny alphas. I went to M's at The Rim today ISO the MS heart dolie border punch, but those spaces are still empty. Boo!!! So I used my J's 50% off coupon on the zippered pouch of the Friendly Forest papers, diecuts and tags. Then I bought the little journaling stickies for this line too. Oh, and I got Mattie another one of those wooden puzzles that we got him last weekend. I found the dragon one. They are WAY cool and he can do them rather quickly. I'll post a pic of the ones he's already one later on:)

More Scrapping For Me...

K...I'm getting there;) I got another one done. Saw this just today on 2Peas. It was a lift from Allison Shubert. Absolutely LOVE her work. Of course, once again, my LO does NOT do hers justice, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out:)
Amy Butler pp, Paper Studio music sheet pp, Jenni Bowling 6x6 calendar card and mini Chirstmas bingo card, K&Co. felt poinsettias, bling snowflakes from HL that my 2Pea Pal sent me for our stocking swap:) SO glad I had these. Thank you, Marla;) Some gingham ribbon and that's about it:)

Gotta run and pick up V from school. Maybe more scrapping this evening. Who knows...don't want to overdo it;)

Yay for Scrapping!!!

Two LOs to share. One I started a few days ago, but hadn't gotten a chance to finish. Then today over at sb.com, Estee announced a contest and this LO fit perfectly into the catgory, so I finished it up today to enter into the contest:) Here it is:

I used my new Prima paper pad, Bazzill paper flower, bling flower center from J's, MM journaling sheet, Cricut cut flourish corners and I used my Martha Stewart Simple Scallop border punch on the green polka dot paper. This one was just for fun. Trying to get the scrappy mojo back. This one was inspired by a LO on my friend Gina's blog; Through My Eyes. I also want to send a quick shout out and congrats to her. She just had a baby boy!!! Congrats, Gina!!! :)

In my LO...Mr. Campy Striptease, MME pp, textured cardstock for the background and border strip, Sandylion owl sticker, dimensional tree sticker from T's $ spot and Cosmo Cricket Outdoors stickers from HL.

That's all for tonight. I went and bought the next Twilight book cause I do not want to wait for Lal to read cause she's reading too slow;) So I'm off to do some reading before I go to bed. It's so hard to put those books down once I start reading. I can't wait for the next movie...hee hee

Have a great night:)

Rough Night...

So Saturday V went to spend the day with MIL. She does that a lot. Steve took her on his way to work and usually picks her up on his way back home. So right before he leaves the shop, he calls to tell me that V has decided to spend the night. I tell him to make sure cause we don't not want to be driving across town in the middle of the night to pick her up (she's done it before:( So she says she wants to stay. Fast forward to the next morning. My MIL calls and says they are going to my BILs lake house. He has a house on LBJ lake.

So we do our thing all day. Went to eat breakfast buffet at Golden Corral, then we brought Mattie back home and we did a little running around. Went to M's. Bought a couple of things...
M's had clearance papers 7 for $1!!! I got these MM Animal Crackers. I want them for some LOs I am going to make for my neighbor, Ruby:) I also had some MM Fa La La ones; the music notes sheet and the diecut circle. They were red tagged clearance, but they didn't ring up at the sale price, so I put them back. These were only 14 cents each!!!So I used my coupon to get the cute Friendly Forest stamps. Got a sheet of those owl stickers Lal bought quite a while back. Then I found all these new embellies by K&Co. The line is called Que Sera Sera. LOVE it. They didn't have any papers out. Not sure if there is any, but I'll be keeping my eyes open for it. This pack of diecuts was $4.99, I believe, but it's got SO many goodies in there. Plus it has both cardstock diecuts and acetate ones too. Just GORGEOUS!!!

This is the sheet of stickers from the pic above. Got these for 99 cents. Came home and found these Bazzill chips and made this cute little embellies:)...These colors also match two of K&Co. Christmas paper lines perfectly:)

So we did our grocery shopping, then came back home and chilled the rest of the afternoon. It was a pretty nice day weatherwise.

So about 4pm, we call my inlaws to see if they are on thier way back sinc e it is a school night. They say they are just leaving. So V gets here about 6pm or so. She is NOT wearing her jacket and when she comes in, her hands are freezing:(

Then she starts telling me they went swimming and that they were out on the kayak in their swimsuits!!! OK...I must admit it wasn't too cold, but we're still in Winter. It wasn't THAT warm out...sigh...so I am praying this kid isn't going to get sick.

We showered up, had dinner and she ended up falling asleep on the couch before her bedtime. So about 8:30 or so, I take her to bed. Not like 30 minutes later, she's up...all stuffy, can't breathe, etc. etc.:( Ugh!!! This went on until about 1:30 in the am. She just kept waking up. So I finally gave her something and then she went back to sleep and stayed asleep until this morning.

Since neither one of us got much sleep, I kept her home today. I'm making sure to give her the medicine before she goes to bed tonight.

I must say, I am more than a little upset that they were allowed to do all this stuff in inappropriate weather. I wouldn't have allowed it.

Anyway, that was my day and my night. I gotta clean house today and make a quick run to the store for a couple of things I forgot.

I worked on a LO night before last, but didn't get to finish it yesterday so maybe later today. I'll update when I do. Have a great day:)

Christmas Mini...

So here it is!!! It's finally finished. My very first mini ablum. I really enjoyed doing it and now I don't feel so pressured to get the holiday pics scrapped, you know??? I'm pretty sure I might still do some individual LOs, but if I don't...at least I have this:)
I finished it off earlier today. I had such a nice, relaxing day today. V went to my inlaws so it was just me and Mattie here at home and he spent the day playing his new games. Since school is back in session, he doesn't get much time during the week to play.

So after I got up, I cleaned up real quick and made something for us to eat. My neighbor Ruby brought over the movie The Women that she rented from the Red Box so I could borrow it too:) So I watched that while I ate. It was pretty good...not great, but it was OK. I tied the ribbons on my rings of my book while I watched the rest of the movie.

Front cover. I used mostly my K&Co. Christmas Cheer papers and embellies. This was also a good way to use up product, especially when you have extras of the line like embellies and stuff to match:)Page 1 and 2 of my book. Our tree and putting up the tree. That one pic I had to make black and white cause it didn't look so good. It's the only black and white pic in the book, but...oh, well:)More trimming the tree and V in her Santa hat in front of it:) Oh...forgot to say. I threw in one other sheet that did NOT go with this line. It was a sheet of Cosmo Cricket. The Christmas line from a few years ago. That's the cream colored one with the red viney things on it;)Pics of V with Santa at the mall. We've managed to get pics with the same Santa for like the last 5 years. I LOVE that:)Kids on Christmas Eve day at my mom's. I had to do this pic sideways cause it wouldn't fit the other way. I couldn't crop it cause then I'd end up cutting part of someone's face off so I just flipped it on it's side;)

The other page is V putting out a cookie and some Sunny D for Santa. We only put out one cookie for Santa cause he has to eat a lot of cookies that night and he's also lactose intolerant...that's why the Sunny D;) Oh..,.the little dimensional star thingie is something I got at HL with the Christmas crafts...and I used MM tiny alphas for some of the titles.

V and Mattie on Christmas morning with one of their many gifts. They both asked for the Animal Crossing game so that they could interact when they play. It's pretty cool.

Next page...All my kids on Christmas evening. Stevie didn't come over until later in the day. It's so hard to get pics of them all together since Stevie is at his mom's most of the time. I totally forgot to take pics on Thanksgiving so I made it a point to get them all togehter at Christmas:)

The back cover...The End:)

V decided to spend the night over at my inlaws so we went out to eat when Steve got home from work; Mama Margie's. V does NOT like Mama Margie's. She does NOT like Mexican food:(

Before we went out to eat though, Steve took me by the big J's. I only got a few cute little things from the $ bins. That was about it. I'll post pics later...maybe:)

Well, I'm off to relax a bit more and possibly read a little more. I've got a load of wash in the washer that I'm waiting on, but that's about it. Hope you all enjoyed my mini album:)

Super Fun Shopping Day...

Yesterday I'd talked to Lal about possibly going to the newer M's today, but she didn't want to go:( So I was planning on just chillin' out at home today. I dropped off the kids, came home and did a few chores, then I sat down to read a chapter in New Moon. I started reading last night; just read to chapter 3. So as I am reading, Lal calls and says she wants to go, so I get up and finish my chores up super fast and get ready and have my breakfast.

I left the house about 9 and met up with Lal a short while after. So we drove out to the M's. We found everything that we'd been looking for there. Woo hoo!!!
I'd SO been wanting the new Colorbok Friendly Forest that M's is now carrying ever since I saw it on the site. I'd already hit two stores looking for it with no luck. I KNEW this store would have it so that's why I wanted to go.
For locals who have not been, the M's off 1604/Culebra is a totally cool, revamped store. HUGE sb selection;)
So paper pads are 1/2 off and the pad was $12.99, so that would come out to only $6.50. The pad has 4 of each of 10 patterns so Lal bought it and was super kind and split it with me:) I also bought the journaling cards (only $2.99). TOO stinkin' cute...and the 12x12 die cut pack. I'm not crazy about that ginormous squirrel...can't imagine what anyone would do with that...but the rest of the papers are way cute. That pack was $4.99 (not on sale:(

Here's a pic of the other goodies I got. They have this new MM exclusive line; Chloe's Closet. I got the paper pack (also not half off, but I used a 40% off coupon;), the smaller pack that included some diecut sheets ($4.99 or $5.99...can't remember), the journaling spiral ($4.99) and the jouranling stickers were $1.99. Lal bought me those. Muchas gracias;) I also got a pack of these super cute little birds by Prima. They were $1.99 I believe. These are going to go great with that new Prima pad I just got there last week.

They had LOTS of new, uber cool Prima goodies. It was SO hard to decided what to get. I just wanted it all. They also had another new MM line. Pinks and black...can't remember what it was called though:(...Lal??? It might be up on the site.

Also in the above pic are some cute little journaling diecuts I bought at T's. We went there after M's. They are Marcella by Kay. There were 10 of each one, so I split the pack with Lal.

Yesterday I ordered the new DCWV Green Stack from J's. Got a tip off from sb.com that it was finally up online cause it hadn't been even though some people were finding the pad in their stores...not here though. Or at least not the small J's in town. I was going to hit the big store up tomorrow, but I just went ahead and ordered it online and saved myself the trip of going out there...and possibly not finding it. Besides the 12x12 pad, I also ordered the chipboards. Both were 40% off, so not a bad deal. Plus shipping only cost me $2.95;) So I can't wait for that to come in.

After M's and T's, Lal treated me to lunch and a most yummy dessert at Chik-fil-A down the street then we headed back to my house. I worked on and pretty much finished my mini album I was working on. I have one last thing to add (some ribbons on the bookrings) and I am done. Gonna do this tomorrow, then I'll take some pics and update.

My neighbor, Ruby also came by and brought the baby. Lal and I took advantage of the op and took lots of pics to make LOs and surprise Ruby with. I already have a LO in mind:) Ruby dropped her off while she ran a super quick errand up the street, so she'll really be surprised when she finds out what we did;)

After we picked up both kids, I headed to my mom's to drop off Lal. My mom ordered pizza from Domino's so we ate dinner there. Thank you, Mommy. Saved me the trouble of making dinner tonight;)

Well, I am off for the night. Gonna go read a bit more. I am SO glad it's Friday. Even though the week went by rather quickly, I am so ready to take a little "break"; sleep in a little later and just chill:) Have a good night everyone.

Finally Getting Something Done...

So I am currently working on a mini album. This my first. After Christmas, I found these BG chipboard albums on clearance at M's. I went by yesterday and picked up a couple more...

I also found these REALLY cute new stamps at J's. They had SO many others, but I tried to refrain and just chose some;) They also had like 3 different Studio G sets; Vday, St. Patty's and Easter, the Studio G ink pads and some diff glitter glues.

Anywho...so I'm working on the mini album. This is my first "project" since who knows when. I have been in this HORRIBLE scrappy rut:( No motivation or inspiration:( Sad, sad...so many things and not one single idea in my head. I really can't stop shopping though.

I didn't spend too much yesterday though;) Today I ordered the new DCWV Green Stack from J's.com along with the chipboards. They were both 40% off so I'm actually saving money...hee hee

Now I am desperately in search of the new Colorbok Friendly Forest paper pad that M's is going to be carrying. The Rim has the shelves set up, the price labels up, but no product yet:( I'm hoping to go to the Northwoods or the new one off of 1604/Culebra on Saturday and looking for this. I MUST have it and paper pads are 1/2 off right now at M's so I would totally be saving more money. Plus I printed out some 40% off coupons so I can get some of the matching embellies. More money saved;)

Yesterday SAWS was working on something on our corner so we had our water turned off:( So that's when I decided to take a little shopping trip. I went to Crossroads and did J's, HL and T's. Then went to the M's at Ingram on the way back home.

After I came home, I had a quick salad for lunch then went over to visit my neighbor Ruby and get my baby fix. I held the baby and fed her her bottle. She is too adorable. I gotta remember to take my camera the next time so I can get some good shots of her while she's still tiny. Then I can scrap some pages for Ruby:)

Today I did a mile on the Eliptical...but I also ate pretty much a whole pint of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia. Waaahhh!!! Why does Steve have to buy me these things???!!! I shared the last half of the pint with V, so technically, I didn't eat it ALL;) Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. One with more willpower.

Off to work on my album some more. I'll upload pics as soon as I get done.

After Christmas Shopping...

I've been doing some after Christmas shopping. I went by Walmart and found some great stuff for 75% off!!!
Such a super deal!!!

Some very cool stuff I picked up at M's; 2 BG 12x6 chipboard books (on clearance at 60%:) and another MS stamp set. This one was only 50% off when I bought it though, but I didn't want to chance missing out on this one.

I SO love the new K&Co. Vday papers. Can't think of the name of the line right now though;)

Also from M's. Got this Prima paper pad today for 1/2 off. Glad I didn't get it yesterday. I was debating it. It's part of the new stuff that's going into the Designer's Corner. They also had some new Autumn Leaves stuff, but most of the new stuff isn't out yet. Can't wait to see what else they'll get in.

There's a lot of stuff on clearance so I'm assuming they are getting in new product. The chipboard books are from the $1 bins!!! There were boxes of other Colorbok stuff, but they were taped shut:( All I got to see were some little packs of some chipboard accents. Can't wait to see that new stuff too.The kids at midnight on New Year's. I brought Lij over. For the last few years he's spent New Year's Eve with us. It's become some kind of a tradition. We ordered in pizza and they played Wii Music and watched movies and read scary stories from V's new book:) We headed to bed right after midnight. Watched the live fireworks downtown and then turned in:)

New Years day we left the kids with the inlaws and we did a little shopping then took in a movie. We went to see the movie Fireproof. My MIL kept saying we should see it and Lal'd been talking about it too. She ordered the movie and got the soundtrack. It was a good movie with a very good message. Afterwards we went to use of gc to Texas Roadhouse that my inlaws gave us for Christmas. We ran into my BIL and SIL who were also there using their gc too:) I had the chicken fried sirloin which was SO delicious. It was also quite large. I only ate about 1/3 of it and brought the rest home. We had a grilled shrimp skewer as an appetizer and it was SO yummy.

In other news, the kids go back to school tomorrow. Yay!!! V was ready early; had already showered and was lying on the couch watching TV. At about 8:30 she says to me...Shouldn't I be in bed by now???...Yikes!!! I think I got a little to used to the kids staying up late. So we rushed to get in bed. Hoping tomorrow will be an easy morning. I gotta clean house tomorrow, but it should go quickly with everyone out of the house.

I'm watching Sex and the City on my portable DVD, waiting on a load of laundry to come out of the dryer and I gotta do a quick batch of dirty dishes, then I'm headed to bed. I really hope I'll be able to get out of bed at 6am:(

Thinking About: some things I want to accomplish in 2009

Dreaming of: getting more done. I am trying to simplify. Getting rid of lots of stuff. Trying to make things easier.

Enjoying: every day

Vowing to: accomplish more this year. I definately want to go to work or get into school. One or the other.

Working On: trying to get back into a regular diet/workout routine. I've been slacking too much this past year.

Excited About: what the coming year has in store.
