Crop Night

Last night was our monthly crop night at 911. I finally got to meet Karen (ScrappiKat) from sb.com!!! She is sooo awesome!!!...sweet, funny and so nice:) She also took her daughter Lexi who is such a sweetie:) I also got to meet Karen's friend Sharon. Another GREAT lady!!! ;) I had the GREATEST time last night. I am SOOO looking forward to next month's crop:) We talked and laughed. I wish we hadn't had to leave a little early:(

Miguel picked up and I went back to Lal's. We stayed up until a little past 2am and scrapped some more:) I finished five LOs all together:) The most I have scrapped in QUITE a bit. I just hadn't been feeling it, but I was on a roll:)

I went by Jo Ann's at Crossroads today and they had a whole bunch of stuff on clearance. I picked up packs of Colorbok flowers for 97 cents!!! as well as a couple of packs of Jo Ann's ScrapEssentials gem brads for 97 cents a pack!!!

Also went by the Michael's at the Rim...just to look;) Hey, Karen...they had the Far East 12x12 pack!!! I don't think there is a coupon this week though:( I spent all of six dollars today. Sooo proud of myself. I have done an awesome job on my sb spending this last month or so. I only spent $15 at last night's crop:) Of course it did help that there wasn't a whole lot of new stuff in:) hee hee

Here's my LOs from yesterday:

LO I did with a pic of Mikey climbing the half wall; one of his favorite pasttimes:) All papers are Junkitz Extreme Boy:)

LO of Mattie trying his his skateboad for the first time. All papers here are also Junkitz Extreme Boy. I LOVE this line for boy LOs:)

LO of Victoria laying out on the front lawn:) I used Comso Cricket Dutch Girl. I had been dying to use these papers. I used a sheet of the French Twist decorative edged paper to trace the pattern onto the back of the Cosmo Cricket and then used my Cutterbees to cut it out:)

LO of the kids last year at the Helotes Cornyval:) All papers here are Basic Grey Color Me Silly. So glad I could dig into my "older" stash and use something:)

I absolutely LOVE the way this one came out. First of all, I just LOVE the picture. Secondly, I just love the way the green stands out of the black and the orange made a really nice accent color:) I finally got around to using another set of my Autumn Leaves stamps.

Thank so much for looking:)

Today...

Today was the last day of swim class. Victoria made some big improvments. Hopefully with some practice, she'll be well on her way.

Swim class was cancelled the other day so they made up 15 mintues yesterday and 15 minutes today. I drove to swim class all by myself!!! :) This is the first time I have driven alone!!!

Tomorrow we are cropping at 911. I am really looking forward to some "me" time. The kids have been driving me kind of batty these last few days. I really need to get away.

Not much else going on around here. Lots of rain the last few days:(

Almost There

Today I weighed in and I lost 2 more lbs. I am only 2 lbs away from my goal weight. Or 7 if I decide to go a little further. I am really excited about it. I have been really good though and haven't missed a day of working out. As much as I want to cheat sometimes or give myself a day off, I have been sticking it out and it is paying off:)

Today we went to see Fantastic Four at the Palladium. It was a pretty good movie. Just didn't really get into it for some reason. The kids are over at the neighborhood pool with Steve and I am planning on taking the van out for a drive later this evening.

I spent yesterday at my mom's. The kids went my my MILs. She took them to the movies. I practiced parrallel parking at the DMV office a couple of times. The first time I did really well, the second time I hit one of those pole thingies. Lucky for me they are bendy or something because I didn't even notice until Steve said something.
I am getting alot more confident behind the wheel. The other night I drove all the way to the elementary school and then turned around and drove to the middle school and then drove back to the elementary school. I actually crossed one of the bigger streets!!! Big deal for me:) I hope I can accomplish this quickly. I am getting anxious to get it over with.

Victoria had her make up swim class yesterday. Here's some pics:

Yeah Me!!!

So yesterday and I went and took the written part of my driving test and...I passed!!! I only missed one question and that's because I second guessed myself or else I would have made a perfect score:) I am pretty psyched!!! I can't wait to get some more driving practice in:) I am giving myself one month from yesterday to get my driver's license. Wish me luck:)

So today Victoria was supposed to start her swim classes at the pool down the street. The class started at 10:30, so I figured I'd set the alarm to get up at 9:15. I changed the time, but totally forgot to set the alarm...Duh!!! But I only got up a few minutes late or so. So I'm making breakfast, tyding up and stuff before I head out. Victoria had changed into her swimsuit as soon as she got up...LOL...so she was already ready. Just had to braid her hair to keep it out of her face. So we get sunscreen, got the towel, get the shoes and head out. We get there and the lifeguard/class teacher person informs us that the class has been cancelled for today because there is too much chlorine in the pool. Ugh!!! I do believe that when we filled out the paper work that we included our phone number. Someone couldn't have called us to let us know???!!!

So, they said they would be making up the class on Saturday which totally messes up my plans of going to my sis' house this weekend:( Total bummer!!! :( The classes are only from Tuesday-Friday for two weeks. So they will be done with next week.

So, we came home and Victoria filled up the tub and "swam" around in there for a while:) My MIL showed up a while ago with my BILs kids and took mine too:) They were going out for a bit. So I am sitting here in the living room, on the computer and can't think of a single thing to do:( I don't want to scrap since we'll be cropping next weekend and I already got all my chores done. I guess I should start thinking about what I am going to scrap and what I am going to use and such.

I want to work on V's grad cap/gown pics we took and some really nice pics I took a couple of weeks back outside. Oh, also a LO using her last day of school pic and her first day of school pic. Kind of a comparison LO and how fast time went by. Still need to get some more LO ideas going.

Saturday...

I worked on this LO today. I lifted this off of Lal who beat me to it. It was a lift off of Kittyeisner on sb.com. I just LOVE these Creative Imaginations papers and I debating whether I should go back and get a couple more sheets at 911 before I realize I need more:)

I stopped by there last night and ran into Gina:) We chatted for a little bit and I also got my other pics with Tim Holtz!!! Woo hoo!!! I can't wait to scrap them. I don't really have any ideas yet, but I do want to incorporate some of his product into my LO, so it's gotta be distressed:)

I picked up quite a few sheets of his 9x9 papers and then two sheets of the Creative Imaginations. Also picked up some of those little Pebbles paints for a friend of mine off sb.com for a trade:)
Has anyone seen the new BG line; Indulge??? I am sooo in love with it. I can't wait for it to get to HL:) I am gonna try to hold out and see if they get it in before I run out and buy it. I still haven't used any of my Scarlett Letter or Phoebe packs that I bought at 911 when they first came out:) But they were just so beautiful and I just HAD to have them:)

What Day Is It???

I know school has only been out for a bit, but already the days seem to be running into each other. Kind of like one long day. The days become so monotonous in the summer, I can't even remember what day it is anymore:(

Yesterday I went across the street and practiced my driving in a mostly vacant parking lot where the old Albertson's used to be. I tried parallel parking, but did not do very well:( But at least I didn't hit anything:) Just took me a while and it didn't look very pretty in the end.

I went by HL and did a little shopping. I only spent like $20 last week ( big milestone for me) and I'm feeling a little deprieved. I am really trying to save up though, but I gave myself a little splurge. What's a girl to do??? :)

I found two of the new Daisy D's "title type" rubons and these cool new Paper Studio stamps. Can't wait to use them. Also got another Swatch book of rubons and some MM large Hiedi in black. They had some other really cool stuff in a basket that wasn't marked yet though; some Imaginesce flowers and packs of Bazzill Bitty Blossoms!!! Too cool. I wonder what other new stuff they'll be getting in.

I also found these cool Kelly Panaci cardstock stickers. These are going to be great for a BOM page:)

So not much else going on around here. I am desperately looking forward to crop this month. I need to get out of this funk I am in lately:(

On somewhat or a brighter note, I am still working out everyday and I am only 5-10lbs away from my goal weight. I still haven't decided which one yet. Depends on how I think I look at either one:) I am really leaning towards the 10 though and it's been going pretty well, so it shouldn't take too long:)

I Met Tim Holtz!!!

Tim Holtz is teaching some classes at one of our LSS. They had a contest on the store blog to try and guess Tim's favorite soda and I won!!! I guess Mountain Dew...it's actually DIET Mountain Dew:)

So I went in today to pick up my RAK; an autographed copy of one of Tim's books and a $15 GC. I got to meet Tim and take a pic with him:) He is sooo nice and such a cutie;)

Here's Tim signing my copy of one of his books:)

Such a super exciting day!!! I got the Fancy Pants chipboard flourishes with my GC and picked up a few of some 9x9 Tim Holtz papers and a couple sheets of some Doodlebug papers...Oh,and I hit my free $10 again. Woo hoo!!! :)

A Little Break

Well, Victoria went over to my inlaws on Thursday and Mattie went to stay at my mom's. I went over to Lal's after Steve and I had dinner at Mama Margie's. Lal and I made some yummy strawberry daquiries and hung out;) I got some LOs done too.

This is one I did a while back, but still had to add in her "report card". I did this today:)

This one is a lift from a LO Lal did. She got the idea from a LO she saw in a scrap mag:)

This one was inspired by a LO I saw on a blog that I frequent; Sherelle Christensen...I think I spelled that right:)

Lastly, I did this one using some of my Elsie Love papers. I got the idea from a LO in Scrapbook Etc., I believe:) I finally used some of my Queen & Co. felt ribbon too.
