Three More Completed...

That puts me at 73!!! :) I think I'm doing pretty good on keeping up with my goal. At this rate, I just might do double what I had anticipated:) Wouldn't that be cool???

So here are my latest...

This pic is from Oyster Baker this past year:) All papers are BG Color Me Silly. I really like how all the bright colors stand out against the black. Very "fiesta";) I got this idea off of 2Peas.This one's a lift of a lift. Lal lifted it off someone and I lifted it off Lal:) This was a real quick one as well as the previous one. Pic of the kids a few weeks ago when Lij was spending some time over here:) Back paper is MME. Teresa Collins diecut from the Damask, K&Co. Mira diecuts, MM border strip, Cricut cut flourish and Autumn Leaves stamp.

This one was a little more time consuming...a little more my style;) Lifted off of sb.com. Pic of Mattie, Mark and Nick at his birthday "party" just recently. This is the only pic of them together and the only pic of Mattie with Mark since he was very little. I'm sure this is going to mean a lot to him later in life.

Paper Studio and MME paper (polka dot), Bazzill paper flowers and Prima Collage flowers, MM decorative brads, Tim Holtz Grungeboard that I covered with gold Stickles, HS ghost clocks, bronze Scribbles for my flourishes and Autumn Leaves stamps for the bigger flourishes. I can't remember where I got that little key from:)

So yesterday V spent they day with MIL as she so often does. I just chilled at home and got some stuff done. Went through the school supply lists and checked to see what we had and what we still needed to buy. There was very little we needed to get. Good thing we always stock up when things are really cheap, it pays off:)

Vacuumed out my truck, pulled a few weeds. I was just about to wash my truck when I got a call from an old friend...Yay!!! We met up for some drinks at Chacho's up the street. It'd been about 7 years since the last time we saw each other!!! But really...the time never seems to matter. We always just pick up where we left off:)

Aren't we cute??? ;) This was taken with her camera phone. I think it's pretty good for a phone. It was kind of hard to take the pic ourselves, but she showed me lots of pics she had on the phone and they looked AWESOME. It's one of those new IPhones. I think I want one;)

So yesterday I got a totally AMAZING surprise in the mail. There is a woman on 2Peas whose gallery I totally love. I have lifted a few of her LOs. They are just GORGEOUS. So a couple of weeks back I peamailed her to ask her about a certain paper that I'd seen her use on some LOs and that I'd been seeing quite a bit and couldn't figure out who is was from. So she messaged me back and let me know it was Prima and that she'd pick some up for me at her LSS...How cool is that??? Then she lets me know she's already mailed it out and added some extras...OMG!!! Can this get any better???!!! So I get this in the mail yesterday...

SO, SO loving the papers and the huge crystal flourishes...everything is just SO FAB!!! I can not belive this woman's generousity!!! I feel like I just got mail from a scrap celebrity...TOO cool. I can't wait to do something with all my really great new goodies:)

Today we took in the first showing of Journey to the Center of the Earth...and it just happened to be the 3D showing. It was SO cool. Excellent movie. We all loved it. Went to Target to get the few school supplies we still needed off our lists. Got V another school outfit. Headed to M's. OMG!!! They had the MM Passport line!!! I got a few of the embellies. The papers were not on the shelf yet so I gotta check back in a couple of days. I don't want to miss them. The paper racks were there and marked, but they were empty:( I have SO been wanting those and missed them when they were at 911. Plus got a 40% off coupon for next week so I want to pick up the embellie box:)

Kept hearing about the Cricut Storybook cart. I was planning on buying the Home Accents at HL. They have it for $49.99...Note...M's now has the Solutions carts. Saw them there today...So I go online and look at the Storybook cart and SO fell in love with it!!! I ordered it off of Hallmark for $59.99, regular $89.99. Only $5 shipping. So for $15 more, I got this super awesome cart. It has SO many options as opposed to the Solutions carts which are kind of limited on choices. This cart has TONS of flourishes, flowers, corners, borders...You HAVE to go check this out. It hink this has to be the best cart so far.

That's all I have to share for now. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the rest of the summer. Can't believe the beginning of school is just around the corner.

And the Grand Total is 70...

I completed two more LOs. Well one I just needed to add the stitching. The other I did today:) So that puts me at 70 LOs for the year. Only 30 more to go to reach my goal of 100. Here they are:

Paper Studio, Miss Elizabeth's and MME pp, DCWV Glitter mat stack for the stars (cut with Sizzix), white staples, 7Gypsies cardstock sticker, Melissa Frances journaling diecut, calendar coaster, twill and Rusty Pickle buttons. This is the one I just had to do the stitching on. I really wish I had a little more space in my room so that I could permanently keep my machine out. I'm sure I'd use it alot more if it were easily accesible. I hate lugging it out of the closet everytime I want to use it:(

Anywho...MME Adore papers here, Cricut cut flourishes, lace, Bazzill paper flower, Foofala button, MME diecut title and a Prima journaling sheet. TFL

Updating...

So Mattie's actual birthday was last Monday. I took him out to eat lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant and to Game Stop to spend a gift card he got on Sunday. I brought Elijah home with me Sunday after the party, so he was here to help us celebrate.

I went by HL and got some of the new stickers they got in; 7 Gypsies and some alpha stickers. Cool new stuff they got in:)

Not much else the rest of the week. I spent Saturday over at my mom's and we all made a little trip to Michael's. Didn't find much though.

Yesterday we took the kids to the movies. We went to go see Space Chimps...not too great. Our options were that or Journey to the Center of the Earth and the kids chose the other:( I went by M's at The Rim and found those paper storage units. They were on clearance for $15. The regular price on them was $35, so I think it was a good deal.

I had a coupon for 25% off your entire purchase, but the coupon was only good between 4-8pm. I was there earlier and there weren't too many of the units left so I didn't want to chance it and wait. I picked up four although I could easily fill up quite a few more;)

I got them put together and set up last night and I LOVE them:)...

Here's a couple of LOs I've gotten done. I have one more I need to add some stitching to also:)
TFL:)

It's Party Time...

So today we celebrated Mattie's 14th birthday. I seriously can NOT believe I am the mother of a 14 year old. Well, I will be tomorrow;) Shocking!!! :)

So we planned to get together at Dave and Buster's at 1pm. I went and picked up my mom and Lij and then we headed over there. Steve took Victoria and got there first. We had a really nice turn out. Matthew's biodad, Mark, and alot of his family came. It was nice being that they are usually not involved in his life. I know that it meant alot to Mattie to have him there as well as his grandfather, aunt and uncle and cousin, his brother and sister:)

Here's a few pics. My cake pics did NOT turn out well. Mark's wife, Jennifer, was taking lots of pics so I hope she got some good ones that she might share with me:)
Here's Mattie with Lij and Victoria.Mattie with my mom.Mattie with Mark and his brother Nicolas.

Matthew with his baby sister, Mia.Matthew and Nicolas:)Victoria and Gabby.

Oh..and everyone loved the cake. We all had a really good time. It was nice that everyone came to help us celebrate:)

Mario Kart Racing Mania:)

So Monday is Matthew's birthday. We are celebrating tomorrow though. We are meeting up at Dave and Buster's and doing our cake/gifts there:) One of the big things on the list this year was Mario Kart Racing for the Wii. I had no idea how popular this game was.

I remember seeing it in the stores when it first came out and even after. I thought I had plenty of time to get it. I told myself I'd start doing my birthday shopping the first week of July. Well, I think I might have even started looking a little before that, but that game was nowhere to be found. Everyone was sold out...Game Stop, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, Walmart...no one had it. Game Stop said they weren't getting any in until late August!!! Ugh!!! This totally reminded me of the Wii drama of Christmas:(

So I pretty much gave up rather quickly on trying to find this game. I wasn't about to drive all over town trying to find it. Was just gonna chalk it up as a life lesson and not procrastinate next time. Live and learn:)

Well, just a few days later while I was out running around, Steve called me and said they had a used copy of the game at Blockbuster. I had managed to buy a wheel at Walmart for $10. Everyone else had them for $15 or more, so I figured the used game would be just fine. Better than no game at all.

So he says they are holding it so I rush right over. I get there and I ask the guy about it and he pulls it out from under the counter and lo and behold...it is a brand new box WITH the wheel!!! Woo hoo!!! Super excited. So now we have an extra wheel, but that will work for two players so the other player doesn't have to use the regular controller:)

So today I spent the better part of the day making Mattie's Wii inspired cake;) I can't take all the credit for this though. I totally got the idea from Estee's race car cake she made for Maddux's recent birthday:) I LOVED it the minute I saw it and couldn't think of how to incorporate this cake into a theme for Mattie. Then I thought of the game.

The idea hit me kind of late in the week so I had to improvise on some things. I saw these REALLY cool Mario Kart Racing pull back mini cars that I SO wanted for cake toppers, but the store was in Hong Kong!!! I'm sure they would not have made it here on time. So I got this idea and then relayed it to Steve and this is what we came up with:

We made the little race cars out of some Lego pieces that are a part of a Lego Racing board game that once belonged to Stevie. I bought it for him a LONG time ago:) But Victoria now plays with it. These worked out great IMO;) We made one other car with Bowser on it, but I think it would have been a little crowded on top of the cake so I left him off:(

Not much else going on around here latey. I'll upload tomorrow, hopefully with lots of great "party " pics:)

Finally Rain...

So the rain has been around for a while. I'm pretty glad about it. We needed it SO bad. Our grass is starting to look greener:) We haven't been able to get in the pool, but that's OK for now;)

The kids have been pretty entertained the last few days. I picked up Elijah from my mom's last week. They have been playing video games and watching movies. Today they spent a good while playing with Legos after I made them turn the TV off:)

Yesterday we took them to Chuck E. Cheese's for a couple of hours. Didn't do much else. I went by M's, but didn't buy much either. I think I have everything already...LOL

A couple of LOs I got done...

This is a total lift from my newest issue of Memory Makers. I used some scraps from the Junkitz Extreme Boy line. They look great even though that's a pic of Victoria:) That's pretty much all I used here except for a couple of pieces of DCWV Rockstar papers as well. This one was an idea I got off one of those idea sheets from M's. This one was in the Designer Corner...or whatever that little area is called;) Pretty much everything here is Amy Butler. I couldn't find the Lotus tags:( so I improvised and made my own:) I used my Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cart to cut out the tree. An Autumn Leaves bird stamp and some tulip punchies. I hand wrote the little quote. I REALLY do not like to use my own handwriting...but I did. The top part is textured cardstock folded over the "tag" and then I used part of the Amy Butler packaging. All the recycled packaging has stuff you can cut out of it to use it all up:)

We didn't do much for the 4th. We took in a movie. Went to go see Hancock. Excellent movie. Then went out to eat dinner at Ding How's...I don't even know if I spelled that right...LOL

I'd bought the kids matching 4th shirts, but I didn't get to get any pics cause Mattie almost immediately spilled on his shirt:( So no 4th LOs here...Total bummer:(

That's about all going on around here. Hope everyone is staying dry:)

Late Night Cyber Crop

Lal and I had one of our little cyber crops the other night. Coincidentally we both did a very similar LO. Too funny. Here's my version:

I finally broke into my Archaic paper pack:) Added some Heidi Swapp chipboards, MM defined stickers and a naked chipboard arrow I painted with MM chocolate:) TFL

Just A Quickie;)

Here's some LOs I'd been working on over the last couple of days that I finally got done and uploaded:

Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine. Totally LOVE this line. I picked up some sheets and the journaling tags at 911 last weekend:) Chatterbox chipboard alphas, silver Stickles for my "flourishes" and Prima flowers from M's. Doodlebug buttons, MM tiny alpha stickers and I used my Martha Stewart lace doilie border punch on the bottom strip of Scenic Route pp.

These last two were inspired by an idea sheet I picked up at M's on my way out. Totally caught my eye;) Papers are MAMBI coastal. On the one of V I also used the diecuts and some Soft Spoken. I machine stitched on both LOs. On the one of Mattie I only used the diecuts along with a dimensional title. Also used some MM defined stickers.

Gotta run to the store for some bread for garlic toast for dinner. I'm making spaghetti:) TFL

Hello Out There...

I can't believe June is almost over. July is just around the corner and Mattie will be turning 14 on the 14th!!! Wow!!! I need to start getting some shopping done.

Today I did some yard work; raked up a bunch of leaves in the front yard. We have that Alamo tree and it sure does drop alot of leaves:(

After V and I took a dip in the pool. I have started covering it up in the evenings cause we were just getting too much stuff blowing in there. I was spending the better part of an hour cleaning it out when we wanted to get in. It helps ALOT keeping it covered:)

I've been doing a little bit of scrapping. I got this one done the other evening:

I used some MM Noteworthy and Garden Party pp on this one. Along with some Noteworthy diecuts Lal was kind enough to share with me;) MM letter stickers, French Twist buttons and a Sizzix cut felt flower.

I have one more LO that I am working on right now using some of the Cosmo Cricket Hello Sunshine papers. I went by 911 on Sunday and picked up some goodies. I hadn't been by in quite a while. I sure did miss it:)

Anyway, I'm stumped for a title for my LO...that's the hold up. I am using some Chatterbox chipboard letters and I am short some for certain titles I'd already considered so I gotta work with what I have and come up with something:) I'll post it as soon as I am done:)

I did some more organizing in my room. I put this one piece of furniture back in that I had in my area a while back. It's black and doesn't match anything else (which is why I took it out in the first place), but it'll do for now.

I got most of my flowers and my Primas on here and still have a little room left to grow;) Oh, and the Barbie "head" isn't up there anymore:) I put some altered goodies that Lal and Cass made for me:)

That's about all going on around here right now. Until next time...Hope everyone is enjoying the summer:)

On the Road to Recovery

Well, everyday I get up feeling a tiny bit better; not a significant difference, but I'm thankful I don't feel as bad as the previous day. That's good enough for me:)

I got another project done yesterday. Went by M's to get a few things I was lacking for this LO. I am really loving the way it turned out:)

This is going to hang in my new scraproom. I had two more frame I need to work on that are going to hang in there:)

Today I went by HL for the Cricut cart sale, but alas I was too late:( They were out of the Home Accents cart that I'm really wanting. Usually when there is a sale, they will run out quickly. I got a rain check and the girl at the register said they'd be in on Wednesday so I'll have to try to get there early for it:)

I did however get the Stretch Your Imagination cart. That's another one that's hard to find so I was surprised they had it. Steve tried to get me that one for Mother's Day, but went late in the week also (they were having a sale at that time too) and they were out. Only HL carries this cart. M's does not have it.

Anyway, I came home and played with it for a little bit. It's got some pretty cool stuff on there; some flourishes and trees and vines...nice:)

Well, didn't do much else today. I took the kids out to the pool yesterday afternoon. I was planning on just sitting out, but when I went out I discovered "someone" had unplugged the filter and the pool had gotten pretty dirty. So I then spent the next hour or so cleaning out the pool...UGH!!! I must say I did a rather good job considering the mess I started with, but then again...cleaning is my specialty:)

Today Part II

Well, I'm going to give the pics another try. For some reason I am not able to edit my previous post so I'm just posting another altogether.

Pics from Father's Day...

I can't wait to scrap the last pics:) They came out really well:)

Here's something I worked on this evening despite feeling pretty horrible. I went through an entire box of tissues today!!! :( Anyway...here it is...

This is not a lift:) I came up with this all on my own:) This is bigger than it probably looks. I can't give you the exact dimensions, but the brown background paper is one of those Marth Stewart ones; those really big sheets of cardstock. I just trimmed a little off one side.

All paper are MME; Wild Asparagus and Adore, MME diecuts, HG stick pin, Prima Collage flowers and Prima daisies, Bohemian gems, BG rubons and some lace:) Here it is in the frame:

I'm doing some large LOs to frame and put up on the wall in my new scrap room:) I really like how this turned out. I'm going to try to work on the other one this size tomorrow if I'm feeling up to it:) Gotta hit the hay. I think my meds might be kicking in so I better take advantage of that and get some sleep:) TFL

Being Sick is NO Fun:(

So I seem to have caught a cold or something. Boo hoo for me. I'm achy and sneezing and stuffy and coughing...

How did everyone celebrate Father's Day??? We met my inlaws for breakfast at Denny's at 8am. They took the kids afterwards so we could catch a movie. We had some time to kill so we went to the Target off De Zavala. We really lucked out. They had this whole summer section on clearance for 75% off!!! We got tons of stuff for only $30; a couple of ice chest, some juice tumblers, tablecover, placemats, napkins for our patio furniture, a bunch of inflatables for the pool, flip flops, bubbles, those gallon sized containers with the little pour spoutie thingie;)...lots of really great buys:) I also found a CD rack for 50% off for my Sizzix dies:

I am having trouble uploading pics to Blogger right now, so I'll try again later. I was going to post some Father's Day pics and a pic of my other new additon to my sb room:)

Sooo moving on...We went and saw Don't Mess with the Zohan. Definately one of those "guy movies". Steve was laughing hysterically. It wasn't THAT funny.

So afterwards we picked up the kids and came on home. Steve BBQd out in the backyard. I called it a night pretty early since I was feeling pretty crummy:( Despite not feeling much better today, I got all my house chores done. Just took me alot longer cause I had to keep stopping to blow my nose or just take a little break cause I am feeling so drained:( But at least that's out of the way and I can rest a little more. Gotta do my grocery shopping tomorrow, but my list is pretty short despite the kids being home all day now.

I'll update on the pics as soon as Blogger will allow. More soon:)

Friday!!!...Why Am I So Excited???...

LOL...It's just another day. Didn't do much at all today. Had to run to the store for some chemicals for the pool. Something needs to be lower...??? Anyway, also went by Big Lots to buy a decorative curtain rod. I was looking on 2Peas this morning at pics of someone's scraproom and saw this really nifty idea. They had LOs hanging from a curtain rod, so I just HAD to do that too. I had a space on the wall in my new room that needed something and this worked out great. I'll post a pic of it later today or tomorrow.

I got another LO done yesterday, but I'm feeling like it's needing something so I'm going to let it sit for a bit and decided whether it's finished or not, then I will upload a pic.

So other than this I did absolutely nothing today. Oh...I vaccumed out my truck. I guess that was the highlight:)

Ooo, last night I went by Michael's to check on the Fabric Primas and I found these!!!..
They were $4.99 so with my 50% off coupon they came out to $2.50 each!!! They didn't have a whole lot out. Don't know if they were just stocking them or already sold out, but I was looking on the M's site and there are a few other colors I'd like to get my hands on. I still have coupons left:)

I also got another bottle of the Fabric ones. This is what I have so far:

Well, that's been my day. SO very interesting;) Not much planned for tomorrow. Maybe I can think of something to do:)

The Drought is Over!!!...

I finally broke my scrapping drought that I'd been in. I had not scrapped one single LO since Scrapapalooza. Today I worked on this. It's a lift off 2Peas from a woman named Allison Schubert. Her gallery is amazing. This is, I believe, the second lift I've done off her gallery. The first being the "Lashes" LO I did a while back.

I used Amy Butler paper, chipboard letters and diecuts; the new stuff from M's. Also some of the Prima flowers from there too; the first batch cause now there are new ones;) MM Chelsea's Place diecut pp and bronze Scribbles to give the illusion of Prima Studs;)

We did the pool again this afternoon. I got a couple of chores done around the house I'd been meaning to get done. Tomorrow I need to meet someone cause I sold my Crop In Style on Craigslist. We'll be meeting at the Gold's Gym on Babock before noon, so I gotta get up earlier than today and get some chores done before I head out:) That's all I have to share for today. Hopefully I'll get some more scrapping done soon:)

Splish Splash...

So the pool has been up since Sunday. We got it filled up on Sunday actually. So the last couple of days, we have been out there for a few hours each day. The kids are really having a blast out there. Definately worth it:)

I had Victoria put her life jacket on at first because I didn't know how deep the water was going to be for her, but she took it off after a few minutes and she is doing great. She took swim classes last year so she's got some knowledge. She's been practicing the last couple of days and she is already swimming across the pool:) She LOVES to go underwater.

Both of our boys have taught themselves to swim. Started out with life jackets and just took them off as they felt more comfortable and confident.

Today I went over to my mom's for a bit. Me and Lal went to M's; just picked up a couple of things. Only spent like $7:) Then went to the Dollar Tree. We got these really cool squirtie thingies for the kids to use in the pool. My friend Steph bought some as party favors for her son's bday party this past weekend and they looked so cool so I had to get some too:)

Forgot to share some super cool goodies I got at M's this past weekend;)

Those Scrappy Cat stamp sets were 40% off; so $2.99!!! I bought some of those recently at Archiver's. I got the ones that were from the $1.99 sectin though, but I loved them. And what about those fabric Primas???!!! To die for. Those were $5.99 a bottle and the tin was $6.99. I used my 50% off on the tin. I wish I'd had more coupons to use on the smaller ones, but I just had to grab them cause there weren't too many of them and I didn't want to take a chance:) I have more coupons now so I'm planning on going back tomorrow and hoping there are still some left:)A pic of me and my boys from the BBQ on Sunday. Everytime I see them I can't believe how grown up they are already. I still see the little boys I used to babysit. Now they are men, with wives and children of their own. Time goes by SO fast.A pic of me and my soon to be godson:) He's the cutest little guy EVER!!! :)

I think that about wraps it up for now. I haven't scrapped in like forever. I so need to get something done, but it's a little hard with the kids home all day, getting things done around the house and trying to keep them entertained. More to share later:)

How Much Hotter Will It Get???

That kind of sounds like the name of a game show:) It has been so humid the last couple of days which makes it feel alot hotter:(

The first official day of summer break, I took the kids to the park nearby. It was a nice, cloudy and very breezy day that day so it worked out nicely. We even caught some teeny tiny drizzles while we were there. We also took a little walk on the trail. We wanted to go to the little "pond" to check out the frogs, but with the lack of rain, I guess it had dried up...no frogs, no pond:(

I started moving my stuff from my bedroom into the front playroom that afternoon. I spent the entire next day getting everything situated. That was alot of work. Really made me realize who much stuff I have;) But...it's finally done:)
This is my part of the room. I am sharing it with Victoria's "toys" or at least some of them:) I definately like it better this way as opposed to having everything in my bedroom.
This is Victoria's side to the room. We have two tall bookshelves with some book, videos, DVDs, board games and video games. Then the small unit with the TV and game systems, VCR and DVD player. Her two chairs, her easel and two small trucks (not in view) with some toys in them:)Here's her new "bedroom". She spent hours back here the first day playing with her toys. Her two "bin" units are back here now. There is ALOT of floor space back here for her to play. I'm going to get a BIG area rug for her space back here cause we still have that horrible commercial carpeting that our landlord put in when we were still renting. We SO need to get that out. But for the meantime, I'm gonna cover it so she has somewhere comfy to lay and play:)

I went over to my mom's for a bit yesterday. Went to M's and bought two large frames with my 50% off coupons. I want to make some large LOs to put in them and put up on my scraproom wall:) Went by Dollar Tree and found these:

These are the same Paper Studio ones Hobby Lobby has for $3.99!!! Such a steal. They had like 4 or 5 others that I didn't get. Two that reminded me of like the MAMBI Urban ones; the Cheetah print lines, and some baby boy and girl ones, very cute, but I wouldn't use them.

Found this at J's. I'd seen this before, but then got a better look from a pic a friend posted on our private site so I went back and got it..with a 40% off coupon too:)

For any locals out there. I am selling my Crop In Style rolling tote. It's only been used once. I was using it for storage under my desk, but really didn't have much in there. With the move, I didn't have the space anymore so I figured I'd pass this on to someone who might use it more. I am asking $40 cash. It's in EXCELLENT condition. Leave me a comment here with a way to contact you or email me at shopgirlaudi@yahoo.com:) So over the last week or so, Steve has slowly been working out back to get the yard ready for the pool. He cut the grass, trimmed some branches off some trees, power washed our patio and furniture and got the ground ready. He built a shade cover for over the pool cause we couldn't find anything to fit over it. It came out pretty good. So today he started actually setting up the pool. He got up early and started packing down the sand. He laid out the liners and the pool is up and is filling up with water as we speak:) I know the kids are going to love it and spend alot of time back there:) I'll share photos the first chance I get:)

My little cousin is in town from El Paso where he works as a border patrol. My aunt said they were bbqing today at their house so I am waiting for the call so we can head out there. A few weeks back I was asked to be the godmother for the baby (he is 9months now) along with my other cousin, his brother. I am really excited about it:)

More to share later. Have a great Sunday:)

School's Out!!!

Victoria had been dying to shout this on the last day of school. We walked about half way across the parking lot when she remembered and HAD to yell it out...She's so silly:) Ms. Brossard said she was really going to miss Victoria. I'm so glad she has that effect on her teachers. Her teacher last year just loved her also:) We've been pretty lucky to get the most amazing teachers:)

I can hardly believe that today was the last day of school. This past school year just flew by. It seems like only yesterday we were getting ready for the first day. Next year I will be the mother of a 2nd grader and an 8th grader!!! Time sure does fly:(

So much for staying up late. Victoria always makes such a big deal about having to go to bed early during the school year. By 10pm tonight, she was out like a light...LOL

So this afternoon I got the call...FINALLY...my truck was ready!!! I was going to go pick it up tomorrow, but just went ahead and picked it up this evening since they were open until like 8 or 8:30.

When I arrived there I noticed they had NOT cleaned it up and detailed it like they had said, but I was just not willing to argue the point. They kept my truck for TWO weeks. I was not about to go and come back again to have it detailed. I was just super happy to have it back.

On the way home, I stopped at a car wash and cleaned it up and then came home and dried it and vacuumed the inside and Febreezed it and cleaned all the windows:) Yay, yay!!! I'm so happy to have my truck back:)

Hmmm...not much else to share. I have not gotten my scrappy mojo back yet. It must be on vacation somewhere. The other day I did make a little chipboard autograph book for Mattie. He wanted to take one to school to have his friends sign and get phone numbers so I made him a quick one yesterday. I used some chipboard I had, Karen Foster papers and cardstock stickers and some binder rings. I'll ask him back for it so I can take a quick pic to share. It's nothing major, but it's the most "scrapping" I've done since Scrapapalooza:(

Guess that's about it for today. I guess I'll get to bed too since everyone else is already asleep. I hope the kids don't wake up early tomorrow. It's the first day we get to actually sleep in. Crossing my fingers;)

Monday...Thursday...Saturday...:(

So I called the guy who sold me the car (Darwin) yesterday afternoon to get an update, as they had not called me. The guy who answered (Matt)said the guy (Darwin) wasn't in yet, but he was going to see what he could find out and call me back. Well...noone called me back:(

I called in to the main dealer this morning and the guy who I dropped the car off with last week (Steve) tells me that the guy who sold me the car (Darwin) took it to get fixed...???!!! So he says call over there and find out what's going on or call him back if I can't get any answers.

So I call the other place and the guy who answers the phone (David) asks me if I'm the one waiting on the Chevy truck. I guess they'd already gotten the "heads up" that I was going to be calling...Hmmm...Anyway, he tells me the part hasn't come in yet!!! OMG!!! That pissed me off!!! And when exactly were they going to call and let me know???!!! So he says that parts usually come in on Mondays or Thursdays, but since Monday was a holiday, it might come in today or else it could be next Monday or Thursday or Saturday...Uh...how many days are left???!!!

So I asked how long he thought it was going to take and he says..."Well, we are kind of at the mercy of the dealer. Whenever they decided to send us the part"...Ugh!!! Well, at least I have something to drive in the meantime, but I just want my truck back already!!! I hate the inconvenience of it all:(

Nothing else to share. Just my morning drama. Oh...it's actually kind of cool today. Weird, but it is. Nice and breezy and not at all uncomfortable. Gotta enjoy this while it lasts:)

Not much going on...

The weather is just SO hot. I can't imagine what summer is going to be like:(

This past week...last Thursday to be exact, I had to take my truck in to the dealer. They were going to work on a brake light and detail it for me. So we go in and the guy says they may have to send it to Chevy...which they ended up doing. So we have to get shuttled back home and they keep my truck:( I get a call back on Friday that a part needed to be replaced and it won't be in until this Tuesday...Waaahhh, but the guy who sold me the car says I can go in and he'll hook me up with something to drive in the meantime. Yay!!! So I go in on Saturday and they put me in a 2006 La Crosse. It drives SO smooth:)

So we had a long weekend with the Memorial Day holiday and all. The kids were off on Monday. Sunday the kids spent the day at the inlaws and we took a drive up to Austin to hit the Archiver's sale. Wasn't much of a sale, but I got some cool things I'd been wanting:

Also hit some BLs stores there to see if I could find any different BG goodies. This is what I found:)On Monday we hit the first show and took the kids to see the new Indiana Jones movie. It was really good. We also bought our swimming pool. We should be setting it up pretty soon. The kids only go to school until the 4th of June so we are aiming to get it up by then:)

So not much else to tell. If I think of something else super interesting I need to share, I'll come back and update;)
